Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe parking, while affordable, was a bit confusing and not having any temporary parking option to check in (because the street is now closed to traffic) was difficult if you don't know the area or streets. I wish they had explained a little bit better and given more info about how to check out and why a deposit was needed. I also purposely got a room with a spa tub and was incredibly disappointed to find that the jets in the tub didn't actually work, so it was just a slightly larger tub. And worse, the water was no more than lukewarm at any given time and fluctuated between very cold and lukewarm, so the bath situation was a disaster.
I liked that it was affordable cleaning and had parking options available

United States of AmericaIn-room tea making could be improved. No one enjoys powdered Coffeemate in their tea, and 4-5 packets of sugar isn't enough for even two people for one cup each.
The central location was a game changer for our mini-vacation. If that weren't enough, we had a view of the water, comfy reading chairs, and a working fireplace? We were able to do all the sightseeing we could want, walk to our choice of pubs in the evening, or take tea two doors over at Murchie's, yet come back to our room and relax with a good book. This may be our new favorite stay in Victoria to date.

CanadaVery small room. It was essentially a bed and a bathroom, but that was fine since we spent most of our time out and about. It was a bit strange having the sink located in the main room and not having one in the bathroom but it wasn't a big deal overall.
It was a unique and cozy room. The building itself was very old but had a bit of a charm

CanadaThere was no table and (normal) chair in the room. Not sure I have ever experienced this before in any hotel or motel. Very difficult to work or eat or do anything. Also, this wasn't a big issue, but the building was continually creaking (audible at night), which should be investigated.
Great location. Clean and comfortable. Quiet.

CanadaThe layout of the 2 beds - we both couldn’t watch tv at the same time. It was also extremely loud until almost 1:30 so I do not suggest staying if you’re looking for a quiet place.
Very convenient space if you’re looking for a fun night. Close to the waterfront and all the bars/shops

CanadaRoom was quite large and came with a kitchen (no cutlery or plates) fridge was on the floor by the window. No heat in the room. The night staff were quick to find me a portable heater and extra blanket. Jetted tub was a lovely feature but the jets have not been properly maintained. Had no hot water for my shower

CanadaMaaaaybe the parking lot system can be a bit better. I understand that there's not much to be done but it is a bit odd that it is 2 blocks away, and you need a card to get in most of the time, and then you have to give the card back right away.
The location for the price is great. Honestly this is one of those places that you are booking just because of how convenient it is, you have to be realistic and understand that you are not staying a the Ritz Carlton but we had a great sleep and the staff was kind and helpful. I do have to mention that we had the luck to stay on the 4th floor because there is a bar attached to the hotel, and I can see how if you stay maybe don't the first floor, you'd be disturbed by what's going on there.

United KingdomThe bathroom was separated by glass sliding doors so if the light was turned on it shone directly on the bed - not great for sleeping.

IsraelParking that was mentioned previously. Other than that everything was good.
The location was great in the middle of the downtown. With that said, parking is not available on-site. The hotel will direct you to two parking lots that are available in the area. It would be better to know this before booking but it wasn't too big of a deal. Rooms are standard and could be a bit more affordable but it is downtown and understandable at the end.
