Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The intercontinental breakfast was great. Great location and supportive staff. Kitchenette is your room makes it great, you could make your own meal. The laundry is free. Reasonale price. Clean room and environment smell fresh. I can go on and on. It was a great service.

We found that The Business Inn was one of the best hotels we've ever booked and stayed in. The staff was also very helpful.
Our room was great, very spacious, with a very comfortable large bed. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options to eat, and quite a bit of space for eating. The hotel location was very convenient for us, as we were able to walk to many downtown places, and sometimes even to Parliament. For Museums that were a bit farther away, the staff was very helpful in getting us a cab. We also enjoyed attending the Anglican church nearby.

Breakfast area is a little tight but it was okay
It was very clean and we liked how it was easy to access any items you needed in the hallway instead of having to call and then wait for it to be brought to you. I also liked that the rooms had air purifiers. for those who may have allergies, this is great to have. I also like that in the room was a device for sleeping sounds. It added an extra touch to the room

This time the bed was not comfortable and the room was tight. I am handicap so with the wheelchair, or a walker this room on the friend floor was not good. The best was on the third floor, next to the elevator, (across the breakfast room). Parking 27 was amazing. Also I didn’t like the vacuum cleaner hanging in the middle of the room.
We love this place especially because of the staff. They are so nice and accommodating. My husband is a pianist and has concerts once a month regularly. 3 in one weekend. So we stay there regularly. The location, the breakfast. All amazing , but mostly the staff.

I wish they had blackout curtains. Bring your eye mask in the spring and summer.

The suite was very warm at times and the pillows were very high. The breakfast was served on disposables with majority difficult to recycle. Would be better for the environment if a more sustainable solution could be found.
Very welcoming staff, especially Sukh, who sorted out our room, and Ahmed, who was always cheerful. Lovely, comfortable suite, with a very comfortable and large bed and reasonably well equipped kitchen. We had such a restful sleep as it was so quiet on the 10th floor. Complimentary breakfast was a pleasant bonus. We walked to most of the attractions in Ottawa as the location was perfect.

Superior property in Ottawa, central location, we walked everywhere. Very clean, modern well laid out units. So happy here we extended another day. Exceptional underground parking with 20 (!) EV chargers available for reservation included in the parking.

The parking is very crowded; before check-in, we have to find a temporary parking --which is really difficult in a crowded downtown street.

It would be good if I could leave my car in the parking until the end of the day when I check out. Although, the staff allowed me to leave my car there until the end of the day anyway, but I had to talk to them and get their permission. Thank you.

Breakfast is fine, but please don't use disposable dishes, plastic/paper plates, cups and cutlery! It generates so much waste every day. This hotel isn't a fast food.
