There was no crockery, utensils etc which made self catering more difficult. However, this wasn't listed so not an issue, more an area for improvement.

The cabin was really nice and just a short walk to the sea. The heater was a nice addition in the winter months and I'm sure the outside space will be lovely in the summer. There are improvement works going on on site which will make the venue even better.

Shower was quite small. If you moved at all, tended to bump into the temp control and water would go scorching hot or super cold. As long as you aware, should be no problem. Good to bring your own towel too as not included in original price.

Really enjoyed this location while in the highlands for couple days of skiing. A bit primitive but just as expected. Nice, warm and cozy accommodations. We brought our own sleeping bags etc. but could have rented this items there. Very pretty at night with all the lights between cottages / tents. The heater had no problem keeping place a nice temp. Breakfast was great too at the adjacent restaurant. Lots of options to order. Host was very friendly.

I know this is kind of glamping but I really would have preferred if the toilet was connected to our cabin.

Ton is a fantastic host as well as a great chef. His breakfasts were awesome. Cabins were clean and functional.

Loved that it was close off the road, but felt like we were in the woods. We hope to come back and will be recommending it. The lights at night and having our “own” bathroom was such a bonus.

While the direct area the cabins are in is amazingly beautiful there is not much around for lunch or dinner. The sanitary facilities are adequate but rather small.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The little cabins are cozy and spaced far enough apart that you won't notice any of the other guests. The breakfast is not included but the Dutch pancakes are worth all the money.

Insects/bugs are everywhere (maybe its their breeding season).

The whole family enjoyed our breakfast, service is fast and all the staff are customer friendly. We would love to go back here if we are going back to Cape Breton.

These are nice log cabins. A personal washroom with a shower is located nearby. There is a breakfast option on site. The pancakes were very tasty. Check in and check out were very fast and easy.

There were some bugs (it was a bad year for black flies and some mosquitoes), but that could hardly be blamed on the facility.  … and I’ve seen worse. :-)

Immaculately kept, perfect little cabins, clean private washroom in separate building (not a far walk, and will lit), each cabin had its own separate little (locked) washroom with a toilet sink and shower.

We enjoyed the property. The cabin was very cute, clean, and spacious! The loft was great for the kids and a double bed for my husband and I. Just a short walk down a path and you are at a rock beach. We enjoyed having a camp style dinner on the beach. We really liked having our own, private washroom just a few steps away especially with the kids. It was a very effective system and limits contact/needing to share with others. I only wish more places would do this. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! Thank you Ton! We will definitely book again if we come back to Nova Scotia!

Family of 4 with 2 of them kids. Loved the cabin. It’s really all you need. Very comfortable and easy access along the Cabot trail. Friendly staff and easy check in. Loved the beach area. Had a campfire down on the beach with other travellers at the cabins! Beautiful grounds. Breakfast in the am was purchased at the restaurant. Very delicious! Thank you. We will definitely recommend!!!

Ton (Antonius) is a great guy and very accommodating. We chatted about Holland where he's from since we have good friends form that country. His pannekaeken are truly Dutch, something that was confirmed by our friends
