Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

loud, childish running the halls till 1130pm, only two towels in the room for four people, no breakfast, cost was a little high, front desk staff weren’t very chatty at check in or check out, there were people outside the hotel by the front doors drinking alcohol at 8am

Noise from other rooms travelled through the walls. Had to listen to some guy being sick at 3:00 am.

Carpet presented as very dirty, toilet was reported that it was leaking and it never got fixed, parking lot (handicap spot) has a very dangerous dip in the cement.

Noisy, very noisy. People in pool area after it closed were very noisy and drunks in hallway slamming doors and yelling. Also a lot of people just standing in hall way and outside building lobby. Was not real happy. Doubt we will go back.

room was old and out of date, half the items didn’t work in the room. this was honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed it. I would never recommend any one ever staying in this hotel. for what they charge and what you get is robbery. I’m from Winnipeg and this is the most discussing hotel I have ever stayed in. I will NEVER book here again

Our vacation ended and we had to leave or we would still be there and now have to wait until next summer. :-)
We spent a 10 day stay there, after the original hotel we booked fell far below our expectations. We stayed one night because we arrived late at night, but immediately checked out the following morning and booked the remaining days of our stay at Victoria Inn. Although it was a last minute booking we were given a cosy poolside room. Our time spent there was heaven. We made good use of the hot tub, and found that sitting on deck just outside of our room people watching and enjoying the ambiant relaxed atmosphere with excellent covid safety protocols in place that also made us feel safe was all and more than we could have asked for. I have no complaints and can truthfully say from now on, it is the only hotel we will stay at when visiting Thunder Bay in future. Many many thanks to the entire staff for excellent above and beyond customer service.

One of the beds in our room was definitely past it's prime. The carpet could use a deep cleaning.
The staff were friendly and helpful, room amenities like fridge and microwave worked well. The pool was great and we were happy to see that all 4 parts were open. Free WiFi worked very well.

The hotel was very busy and it seemed that the staff were overworked. I think the room could have been a little cleaner ( hair and stains on the bedsheets). I was able to get new bedsheets upon request.
The staff were exceptional. They did not hesitate to change my room and accommodate my need to stay an extra night. The location was central and the rooms were quiet.

You should have mentioned somewhere that the pool is closed and there is no continental breakfast at this time and I honestly didn’t feel safe staying there. And the carpet in our room was damp and smelled really bad
Absolutely nothing, we choose this hotel because of the water slides that were closed and there was no breakfast. It should say on the website the pool is closed.

When we arrived, the room, especially the bathroom floor, was dirty. The carpet needs replacing. The A/C makes a terrible sound.
