Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe hotel is very dated. The carpets are in need of replacing, the air condiditoning unit is quite noisey but works. There are major scuffs and dents throughout the room and hallways, elevators, bathroom door etc. The wall coverings both in and out of the room need to be replaced as they are very dark, scuff, scratched. The room had laminate floors which looked to be newer. The picture of the room (not bathroom) shown on website was accurate.
The reception staff were friendly, efficient and polite. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Toiletries of decent quality were provided. The room was cleaned every day of my 3 night stay. Some fixtures of the bathroom were new, bathtub/shower and sink. TV screen decent size. Wifi easy to connect to. Communication about the booking was good. A call was received to inform that the pool was closed but I did not expect to use it.

usually always stay here when I am in the City. It's right on Portage across from Polo park and all the other shopping. Its improved over the years that's for sure. The two bartenders in the bar work their asses off had a pleasant time when I went down for a few drinks.

CanadaI thought there was a shuttle to and from the airport, but apparently they had stopped that three years ago. I thought I saw it still advertised on the website. However, their name was still on the shuttle list at the airport (which is the airport’s responsibility since they were asked to remove it). But I used an Uber and it was okay. Then the room I was assigned on the third floor smelled strange. They kindly moved me to the fifth floor. But that room had pipes in the ceiling that would clatter and make a huge noise randomly and multiple times in an hour. The pipes were probably connected to the water pressure so whenever someone turned off the faucet or flushed the toilet perhaps, a huge bang occurred. This was startling and did not allow me to fall asleep. Once I put earplugs in, I was able to sleep through the night. The staff let me check out a half hour later the next morning for free.
The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and willingly changed my room when I asked. Around midnight, they also kindly investigated loud and disturbing noises in the ceiling of my room.
