We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very well run hotel, with very helpful & friendly staff. Great pool & hottubs, which get pretty busy during peak times. Local shuttle, Ski valet, restaurant, sports bar & sushi place all on-site were great. So was the proximity to the lifts, and the hot bath to soak in when needed.

This hotel is as close as you can get to the Whistler Gondola. The location could not be any more convenient. The room was well-furnished, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

United KingdomDidn’t feel at all like a 5 star hotel Breakfast restaurant is a charmless factory Generally the hotel lacked atmosphere or charm Was told if I checked out early that I could change out of ski clothes at the end of the day in the pool changing room but had to lug my suitcase down a steep staircase and back again to get there which is badly designed and pool changing area / shower room was tiny and very busy. No clean towels in it. Very cramped bathroom in my bedroom Concierge desk only staffed from 9am to 5pm which is a pain given that it’s a ski hotel and so you’re not around in those times

CanadaJust one thing: for some reason, the coffee/tea amenities had not been updated--one teabag and one coffee serving, plus old coffee still stuck in machine. Not quite set up for a two-night stay.
It was very quiet, the room had good space and warmth of design, very helpful kitchenette. They are pet friendly, so we could bring our cat along and not have to pay for a sitter back home, and they gave us an extra hour at checkout time which made for a more relaxed departure (ie., getting the cat, who didn't want to leave the cozy room, back in the carrier). Also, when we inquired about vending machines (not there) after a late evening swim, a kind staffer grabbed my son a can of 7-Up from their own store so that I didn't have to dash to the local grocery before it closed.

CanadaWhen I arrived at the hotel for check-in, I encountered an issue because the first name I had used online on Booking.com and my photo ID didn't match perfectly, but only a few letters were different, and the last name are same. The front desk manager, Chris, insisted that I needed to change my online name, or else I wouldn't be allowed to check-in. I provided him with my Booking.com Confirmation No. and PIN Code, but he still refused. So, I had to make a long-distance call to contact Booking.com, which took me 20 minutes and cost me $7.5 in phone charges. After I changed my name and went through the check-in process, another staff member at the front desk didn't mention any such requirement and gave me my room key. This left me with the feeling that Chris intentionally created unnecessary trouble for me. I'm not sure what his reasoning was, but I've never experienced such an issue when checking in at hotels around the world. In fact, there are many ways to verify my identity, but Chris insisted that I personally call Booking.com to change the information. At the time, I had other pressing matters and didn't argue further with him. However, I was disappointed with his approach. Would I have really been denied check-in that day if I didn't change my name? This was the only aspect of my stay at the Westin that made me uncomfortable; otherwise, everything else was very good.
