How rude , racist, unprofessional and it was a big disappointment for me the lack of ABC hospitality of the receptionist at the check out

For summer absence of air conditioning is critical. Low ceiling of bathroom in mansard room made it almost impossible to take shower standing.

We were granted with slight upgrade of our room. I think without upgrade our stay would be uncomfortable - small room without air conditioning. In the upgraded mansard room due to space it was more comfortable.

On Booking.com while booking it was shown as booked lake view room however when reached did not get same that was surprising.

Ambience was old and awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful . Provided 4 days free pass for bus travel from hotel to lucerne station. If u like European style stay highly recommended.

Room was on the simple side with no charm to it. It is a bit of a walk to the center of town (but bus stops are very close).

As you would also expect in Switzerland it was overly expensive, but that's Switzerland for you. However for the price I think there should have been a fridge in the room. I also found the system for accessing the internet really complicated. Either you have to ask for an sms to use it on your phone... and mine kept cutting out so I had to do this several times.. or put in your credit card details which I didn't want to do. I can't see why they couldn't just have a password like other hotels. Plus it was advertised as "limited broadband" when fast easily accessible internet is essential these days when travelling. On the tables in the dining rooms there were little message telling us how much we would pay if we took a fruit away etc. Not sure what I think of that! Some people were taking stuff away so either this was to stop people stealing for lunch or was actually a useful service for those on coach tours. A lot of big tours seem to come to this hotel which meant the staff seemed a little over worked and stressed at times but they still did a good job. The bathroom had an automatic light which was a bit annoying as you got blinded every time anyone went to the bathroom and then had to wait several minutes for it to go off. There was a door in our room which being curious I opened. On the other side there was another door so I opened that and lo and behold there was not a magical kingdom but another room with suitcases in. I told reception who came and locked the door but perhaps the hotel could check that ALL the doors between rooms are locked

This is a quaint belle epoque stye hotel well situated about 15 minutes walk from the town centre along the lake road. Our room was much more spacious than we expected, well decorated and with really comfortable beds. We had air conditioning which was great. I really liked the breakfast, the dining room was beautifully decorated with clean white table cloths and everything was very well cooked. The bathroom and toilet were separate which was great and I enjoyed having the bath although this made it less suitable for those with mobility issues (need to climb in for a shower). As you would expect in Switzerland it was extremely clean with exceptional housekeeping.

We booked two rooms, but the hotel couldn't give us two rooms close to eachother (which I still find odd, since it is a huge hotel). We had one room at the front, 1st floor, (great view over the lake) but with lousy airco, and one room at the back, 3rd floor, (not a very great view) but with excellent airco.

- Decent breakfast, lots of large bustours in the hotel but they had their own breakfast room, so pretty quiet - Close to city center, free bus, only 3 stops

No air condition in our room. Very hot and windows needed to be closed because of the mosquitoes at night.

Excellent location, very attentive staff who were all very pleasant. Breakfast was very good and the food generally was very good. Our room had a great view of the lake. Very secure car park.

A little bit noisy at lake side rooms if you open the windows. But lake side rooms are worth staying.

Europe hotel Lucerne is excellent, the location is very good , lake view rooms were excellent. I really appreciate the hotel staff who upgraded my rooms without any cost . The breakfast is very good. The staff is very helpful to plan your day trip or any other activity.

We requested a twin room but beds were together. No space to push beds apart. No mini bar in room. Took 3 days for the towel holder to get fixed. Restaurant staff talking very loudly to each other during meal service. No ambience in dining room.

Easy to get into Lucerne on bus with free bus pass. Bus stop right outside hotel. Breakfast good. Reception has a staffed travel desk which was helpful. Seperate toilet with sink. Easy to access Lake Lucerne with nice swimming and walking areas.

The only conceivable grip was with the room layout. I'd asked for two beds as I was traveling with my mother. These were provided, but was adjacent such that it may as well have been a double bed. Given that the room was so spacious, I simply moved one of the beds across the other side of the room, with plenty of room to do so. This uncovered a reasonable amount of dust where the bed had been, although I guess they didn't count on me doing my own interior design. But this is all very minor; all in all a very pleasant stay!

We had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel itself is done out beautifully, with great views out over Lake Lucerne from both our room and the bar terrace. Check-in was straightforward and there was plenty of space in the underground car park. The room was also very nice, with a lovely balcony overlooking the lake, and twin beds as requested. The hotel bar was a highlight. Decorated in a beautiful traditional style, with an extensive drinks list, comfortable seating, piano, and friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast in the morning was also extensive and enjoyable.
