Welcome Desk could have been better and basic amenities like Blanket / sheets , Paper napkins / wipes were originally missing and were supplied on request. The Reception was open for limited hours only during the day. We had to wait to collect our keys as we had reached earlier.

Advertised as hotel, but is more like a hostel. Got our own room, but shard bathrooms and not much privacy.

Breakfast - This facility is not available at The River Village. Customers are not allowed to prepare in the room. There is a hot water kettle and fridge. Tea and Coffee can be prepared. Basic cutlery is given. Rooms & Restaurant - There is no air conditioning. Fans are provided in the rooms. In the summertime, rooms can get really hot during the day. [went sightseeing during the day and returned to the room in the evenings when it was cooler.]

Rooms - Neat and clean; good for a family of four; cleaned every day; ensuite toilet, shower and bath; hot water; fridge; enough storage space for luggage storage. hot water kettle for early morning tea and coffee [Host supplies with sachets of these with sugar and creamer]. Lunch & Dinner - Bar & Restaurant is open from 1400 hrs till 21:30 hrs. Freshly made food is available on order. Authentic Indian food is delicious and customers who do not live in the River Village are also welcome. It can get busy. Location - Fantastic, beautiful, breathtaking views from the rooms, Parking in front of the room is available but is charged per day for the customers who drive in. Reasonable car parking price. The friendly & helpful hosts - Mr Rupinder Singh & Mrs Menka Singh and their excellent staff - Mr Lakshya & Mr Khan [who were very helpful].

Very expensive for what you got, incomplete building works so couldn't use rear door to outside area. It was very humid and only had a tiny window to open and a fan to try and get a comfortable sleep!. Bathroom light very dull

Our room was a bit cramped making it difficult to get around the other side of the bed when my partner was asleep. We were looking to find somewhere to leave our bags to continue with our journey, but the reception was only open from 2 and we were looking to leave at 10.

With it being a shared bathroom, we were very apprehensive, however it was very clean (cleaner than some places with a private bathroom!). Location was okay, close to the station and river just a bit of a pain to walk to as you have to go away from the hotel to come back to it.

The bathroom had no ventilation or requires more ventilation and gets warm after every shower. Due to no ventilation the toilet had a peculiar stink.

The location was the best. Very close to Interlaken Ost station so you can reach on foot in 15 min. The food was really tasty. Specially the Naan and the tandoori roti.

Sheets provided in lieu of blankets/doona. No fridge available. Although fan is provided there's no air conditioning and the room can get quite warm.

Location was quiet and close to shops and public transport. As there was no elevator we were very grateful to the staff who offered to take our luggage up the stairs to our room.

1-location far from train station need to walk 20 minutes in a dangerous traffic , better take taxi if you have baggage and kids with you 2-no AC only fan 3-no breakfast service 4-reception open 12 noon and close 10:00 pm( not 24 hrs ) 5-restaurant open 2:00 pm and close 9:00 pm 6- very expensive 7- door of your room transparent so no privacy 8- it’s located in place of camping ( so take care if you walk at night with your family) 9- no terrace, some area still under construction 10- it’s better if they have free shuttle every hour from village to train station in both ways

In booking.com it was mentioned that breakfast was optional for an additional cost. But in arrival I was informed that breakfast was not available. This caused a bit of inconvenience as I did not plan for breakfast. However, there was a Coop supermarket near Interlaken OST train station (15-20mins walk), where you can get breakfast.

The lodge was very clean and good to stay. It is on the banks of Aaare River. I walked about 20 mins from Interlaken OST to reach the lodge. You pass by Harder Kulm Funicular (Harderbahn) when going to the River Village.

The stay was indeed beautifull and pretty clean. Room was good enough for four people.
