Had a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful location. Staff were very friendly and attentive and catered for all my needs, I would highly recommend this hotel and good value for money.

Not so much about the property but as smoking is allowed on the balconies, as a non-smoker cigarette smoke wafted up from other balconies and into my bedroom. Disappointing to sometimes have to close balcony door and not be able to go outside to enjoy the amazing view. As I say more a social problem than a hotel problem but worth mentioning.

The room was bijou no where to put suitcases for example. The room is old fashioned. The bathroom tiny no where to put your bits and bob's. This isn't a dislike but just a heads up. Do not expect the room to be boutique. It was adequate and I believe it is reflected in the price.

Location was perfect on the lakefront. Breakfast was wonderful. The restaurant is good and has plenty of choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The view from our room was perfect. Looking into the lake. We took parking from the hotel. 7 minutes walk to the Migros underground carpark. €20 a day.

The room is not air-conditioned. There is only an electric fan in the room. I wouldn't recommend staying there if the temperature is over 30 degrees. Even for a single person, the room was too compact.

First of all, the hotel's localisation is at the top. The direct view of the Lago Maggiore and the lake promenade surpasses some shortcomings of the room itself. There is a balcony with a table and chair to rest and gaze at the spectacular mountains. The bathroom is well-furnished. Noteworthy, there is a shower cabin, not just a curtain, as it happens. The room is generally clean, although there were betters solutions than a carpet.

Be very carefull with room description on booking .com.... As I expected a room with balcony ( originally reserved ) but when I added on the Breakfast it cancelled the balcony and the room was booked with a view but no Balcony! The whole purpose of this hotel ( or these hotels...there are 3 one next to each others ) is tohavw thw balcony and the view. We were offered to stay in Faro hotel with no aircon no lift but a balcony for50 euros extra per night! Very hot and stuffy room due to stormy weather and mattresses and pillows over soft. Breakfast included is worth, but the restaurants linked to the 3 hotels are very overpriced with extremely slow service.

The view from the room is very beautiful FROM the balcony.. Staff is quite friendly dispite many little incidents with bookings and Internet connection. Yet Ascona is a very chic and picturesque place to stay. The hotel is right in the center of it by the lake and it is worth the experience.

Cold water was not always available: for some reason, the water coming out of the cold tap could be anything from cold to almost hot. (Its temperature varied randomly from time to time.)

Amazing location, right next to city center. I had a room with a balcony directly overlooking the lake! The breakfast was well-stocked and delicious. The staff were all very helpful.

Quite noisy being above the terraces of the restaurants. People chatting is OK, but there's a lady playing the violin with a speaker, blasting the same 3 cheesy songs over and over again it's VERY annoying. Rooms are quite small and outdated, would be nice to renovate a bit Shower water temperature sometimes acts weird

This is quite a traditional hotel so the facilities are not super modern ... but is fine for a few nights stay.

The view over the lake is fantastic. The location of the hotel is right on the lakeshore, amongst lots of restaurants and cafes. Because of that it was sometimes a little noisy a night - but nothing too bad.

The location was perfect. The balcony and view, excellent. Loved the restaurant downstairs. Breakfast was really good. We loved Ascona and we really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very centrally located. The staff was extremely accommodating.
