Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LuxembourgThe price of the food is a bit overpriced, but it's really worth to try.
The hotel is located on the slope of the mountain close to the forest with excellent walking trails. The view from the room and from terraces is absolutely marvelous. Staff was very kind and helpful. Our room was spacious, with a separate bathroom and jacuzzi - perfect to relax after walk; and we had a balcony viewing mountains and valley, and Luzern at the lake. There were fruits for guests free of charge on the table in the corridor. We had a dinner at the hotel restaurant and were extremely surprised with the exceptional preparation of the traditional food in an innovative way (Ukrainian specialties). Delicious!

GermanyThe day of our arrival, I received an email that the reception desk would be closed when I arrived with my family and instructions for the self-check-in. Our keys were not in the lock-box as the instructions stated and the reception desk was manned. According to the concierge, I should not have received that email the day of my arrival.
Absolutely everything. The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The view was breathtaking.

AustraliaThe restaurant and shops around don’t offer much choice but we had a car so could drive to the local supermarket. The bathroom window opened onto the next door balcony so you can’t really open it when they are there.
The location right on the hill was stunning and the drive up was lovely.

United States of AmericaFunicular closes at 5:00pm, if you do not have a car either be prepared to pay for a taxi/Uber or be prepared for a bit of a hike! I did laundry in Luzerne and ended up missing the last one up, I ended up with a 20 minute hike in the rain (although the view was excellent!!), so if you are a solo traveller using trains it might not be the hotel for you. Price also is a premium for what you get, but it is Switzerland so what can you do? Shared bathroom/showers are not ideal but not the end of the world, just stings a tiny bit when paying 120 for a room.
Beautiful view of the city, modern rooms and facilities.

AustraliaNothing.
The location of this hotel is wonderful, uninterrupted views of the lake in front and the mountains behind and the sound of the very beautiful cowbells from the friendly cows in the paddocks next to the hotel. It's about 10 mins drive to town so you need a car but its worth it. The room was beautiful and had a balcony which was wonderful to sit out on at sunset. We didn't have breakfast but the dinner we had at their restaurant was lovely. I would have loved to stay longer.

United States of AmericaThe room was exceptionally comfortable. Nice, big, private bathroom....working television with all the channels you would want plus more. Breakfast was complete and healthy. Easy to get to by (your own) car. Plenty of parking. Incredible views of the hills and countryside. Overlooking the city of Luzerne and also Lake Luzerne. So glad that we avoided the congestion and hustle, bustle of the downtown hotels....not to mention that it was only a 12 minute ride back and forth to downtown and parking was easy to find in the city.

United States of AmericaA long walk from the train station and a very steep hill to climb with backpack/suitcases. Cab from train station about Fr.40 Uber does not serve this facility once you’re there it’s really spectacular view . Room was a little warm when we arrived because we walked up the hill. But opening the windows leading a ton of mosquitoes, which lingered all night long in the room. No screens on these windows or in most of Europe! Bathrooms super clean, but shared. I don’t think I knew that when I booked a room
Beautiful views from the hillside
