It was my second stay there. What i appreciate the most is amazing Zurich lake view and at same time good connection to city centre. Room was clean, breakfast delicious and friendly staff, what you can wish more?

My impression of the staff was mixed. Some were super helpful and nice, some other were cold and unfriendly.

Breakfast was amazing, location is quiet and lovely. I went on an early morning hike to see the sunrise over Zurich and it was incredible. The room was big and really comfortable. If I come back to Zurich I'll come back to this hotel.

We booked a deluxe twin room with lake view and I feel that this was worth every penny! The view was stunning across the lake to the mountains. We enjoyed being able to spot the hotel from our trips on the lake and up on the mountains the other side of the lake. The room was clean and well laid out with thoughtful touches including mineral water and a kettle with tea bags plus a coffee making machine. It was also comfortably warm without being over poweringly hot as is often the case. It was lovely to be able to open the windows and to sit and admire the view from the window seats. The bath was huge and provided a wonderful soak at the end of a busy sightseeing day! We appreciated our bed being turned down and the curtains drawn each evening. Breakfast was a culinary pleasure with a buffet offering a wide array of breads fruits cheeses and cereals. Other dishes were cooked to order. Staff were polite and courteous. There was complimentary fruit available at reception and lifts to every floor . The transport link is quite brilliant with the no 6 Zoo tram connecting you to the rest of the city . The Zurich travel card is excellent value to use the public transport network . We went to a concert at the Hallenstadion and were able to return to the hotel easily despite it being nearly midnight. It is uphill for 400m from the tram stop but that just means you get to appreciate the view over the lake - spectacular at night as well as in the day. The area felt safe - we did encounter weed smoking youths late at night on walking back from the tram stop but they did not cause us any bother. However, if o had been travelling alone this is something I would have disliked and opted for a taxi. Running out the back of the hotel through the woods is highly recommended by my fellow traveller.

Beautifully well maintained modern hotel inside a lovely old atmospheric building on the Zurichberg hill looking down over Zurich, with woods and walks nearby, great views - and only an easy 10 minutes to the main station and centre of town - by no6 tram from the Zurich Zoo 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Great breakfast, great fondue in the evening in the Chalet outside! Very courteous and friendly.

Room service charge - yes, the room was cleaned and towels were replaced with fresh ones, however the tea cups, spoons and teabags were not replaced.

The rooms were not accessible via elevators directly involved us dragging out heavy luggage through a flight of stairs, a.ramp.on the side would have helped.

Nothing to dislike, as the hotel is amazing in all aspects, the only thing to be aware of is the location if you use public transport and have large cases. That being said, the trams come and go every 5-6 minutes so it’s really easy.

The property quality, the staff, the amenities in the room (rituals in the bathroom) good coffee machine in the room, amazing breakfast! What a place. We are back in Zurich to fly home at the end of our trip and we have booked the Sorell again, and are very pleased we did!

Almost nothing to fault! If we had to nitpick, the only minor thing would be the absence of a lock on the bathroom – though, truthfully, it didn't significantly impact our overall experience.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel! Our one-night stay with two small kids was made incredibly comfortable. The room, even with a cot bed and unfolded sofa bed, felt spacious. The stunning view of Zürich and the lake added to the charm. The staff's kindness and helpfulness stood out, making our stay delightful. The tasty breakfast, catering to various diets, was a pleasant surprise. Convenient and reasonably priced parking added to the convenience. Special touches like plush teddy bears and rubber duckies for the kids made their stay unforgettable. Highly recommend this hotel for a family-friendly and enjoyable experience!

The hotel restaurant is a terrible choice for dinner. The food was expensive, not tasty, and the staff was rude. Such a waste of place because the view from the hotel in the evening is amazing. It would be great to have proper blackout curtains in the room (nothing that ruined our sleep in such a comfortable bed though).

Beautiful property. The room was very comfortable, clean, modern and cozy, and had all the necessary amenities for a good stay. The hotel staff was kind. Breakfast was just perfect with a lot of choices of fresh food. Jorge, who took care of breakfast was super nice and kind. The view of the hotel is just amazing. It is close to the zoo (which is a great spot if you are travelling with children) and to the tram stop.
