In the shared bedrooms two guests turned the light on and were loud at 6 am. But that's not your fault.

The staff was really kind and clarifying so there were no problems. The location is perfect. Next to the train station and gondola.

If I really have to write something here, I would say operating the gas stove in the kitchen was bit tricky. Although staff did a great job explaining, they did not tell me how to use the stove. I wish they do that from now on. I saw a lot of people struggling to get it working too.

Excellent staff, very good Wi-Fi and the place is very clean and well maintained. Location is top notch (stunning view!). Whether you are traveling in a group or alone, this hostel is perfect choice. You can cook your own meals too! For me, that is a big plus.

For some reason my bedroom door kept opening on its own, even when I pushed the lock on, which was a little frustrating. I ended up leaning my bags against it to ensure it stayed shut whilst I slept. Also, the oven was out of order in my building which was a bit of a shame, but I made do with the hobs and microwave.

In the best way possible, this hostel kind of reminded me of a grandma's house crossed over with uni halls- in the cosiest way possible. It felt very homely, and the no shoes inside policy meant it was nice and clean! The beds were comfy, the views were amazing, and the staff were absolutely lovely. Special shout out to the cleaner from North England who was an absolute ray of sunshine and just such a friendly character who was keen to have a good conversation! It was a small gesture, but was such a nice way to start the day (completely forgot her name though, sorry!) The location was perfect, close to the station and bus if you want to explore the nearby mountains, and surrounded by absolutely breathtaking views.

Everything was perfect !!! Really recommend this hostel everything very close to the waterfall Lauterbrunnen is magical place ! The men who is working in reception was really helpful very kind , clean room lovely bathroom outside balcony with awesome view !

We were lucky enough to get a room that had a deck with a view of staubbach falls. Every direction we looked we were in awe of the beauty of this wonderful valley. The Hostel manager, Michael was a joy to work with and very helpful. We weren’t sure what to expect when we booked this but it was a perfect place for our two children and us to vacation and see all the sites in Lauterbrunnen and the surrounding towns. The room was clean and so were the bathrooms and shower rooms. Each shower is its own room and has a locked door and so are the bathrooms. Everyone was so respectful of each other and it was one of our favorite places we have stayed on our Europe vacation. We will definitely choose the Valley Hostel again if we make it back to Lauterbrunnen. Thank you

I love the location, just in the middle of the valley with wonderful views. The building was new and in very good condition, easy to access and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. I’d love to come to this hostel again next time

They should provide lockers for the bag safety. Maybe basic ingredients could be provided for free in the kitchen pantry.

The environment was so cozy and family like. It was a nice thing to keep the shoes out of rooms and providing slippers. The facilities were very good and clean such as the bathroom and spacious showers. The kitchen was good and there are enough places to dine in. It is just a friendly and cosy atmosphere which allowed me to make some new friends there.

Hotellike experience with a hostel mutliculti vibe (in the kitchen and dining room :). Surrounded by waterfalls, you can almost touch them from your terrace, Tolkienlike scenery one will never forget. Minute away from train station and bus stop - perfect ski location!

The room had an incredible view to the waterfall, a little balcony and a shared kitchen. Toilets are shared but private (one shower in one room). Best way to share!
