We didn’t stay long enough

We were greeted at the gate by Paul & cute doggie. Paul provided a lovely breakfast and also guided us to the best coffee shop on the island!

We’ve stayed in four different locations and this one was by far the best one. The beach next door is amazing. Good snorkelling spot 10 min by foot. Also there’s a grocery shop next door where you can also buy ice-cream in a cone. Paul’s BBQ is also fantastic and the rooms spacious.

Everything was amazing, the owner was a brilliant host, access to shops next door, beach across the road, pool was nice and cold, the only thing was dogs over the hill bark alot lol

About the property is so Fabulous,very handy to everything, For example: beach just across the road, shop just next door, bus clockwise just wait right their beside the road, to go to town. The team is so friendly, welcoming you, with an open arms of Love, smiling and etc.I Recommend it’s beautiful place to stay.❤️❤️

We only stayed here for the last night of our holiday, after our return flight was rescheduled and we were left short of accommodation for the last night. We would very happily spend more time here. When a younger one of our family group of 10 became unwell, they were so understanding and helpful. Thank you!

No A/C although sea breeze in afternoon cooled apartment down.

Cute little apartments across the road from the beach. Very clean. Nice pool. Good value for money. They organised a scooter for us. Would recommend staying here if you don't want something to flash.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Black Pearl in Rarotonga, and it was truly a delightful experience. Meeting Paul, Janelle, and their charming dog, Lilley, added a personal touch to our stay. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, and its proximity to the pristine beach made morning walks a serene and unforgettable experience. Although our visit was brief, just one night, we are already looking forward to returning in the future. Highly recommended!

As a light sleeper I did wake to the wild chickens and roaming dogs barking, but it did not spoil the holiday by any means.

Our hosts Paul & Janelle were welcoming and very helpful. The apartment was large, clean, had everything we needed and looked out onto the garden and pool.

Best accommodation in Raro. Perfect for families, very safely fenced for young kids, easy access to the beach across the road. Exceptional customer service, lovely owners! Great location. Close enough to town and good eaterys. Awesome to have more space than you get in the resorts, and the pool only steps away. Small service center next door for shopping.

Amazing hosts helpful with dinner options etc and even gave us a book to read. Loved that a windows etc were mosquitoes proof. Lovely facilities.

Shower towels were dirty from previous guests. No Fan in the bath.

Spacious garden bungalow with nice garden and Pool. BBQ Station available. snorkeling gear can be hired. Yoghurt breakfast was in the fridge even we didn't booked a breakfast. Beach is across the street. Garden hast a fence so IT is perfect for children.

Did not miss the TV but a radio would have been nice. But then again maybe a bit of quiet from everybody else in the neighbour rooms is good too.

excellent room and pool, lovely hosts and helpful hints with phone and internet. Loved the home-made yoghurt with blueberries at small extra charge. Shop close by as well as an excellent restaurant and beach-bar.

We really liked the location. It was about 10 steps from the gate across the road to a beautiful beach and there is a pool too - all the rooms seem to look out to the garden and pool. It was always kept so clean and there's a BBQ for guests to use and a laundry. Filtered water is available at all times. There's 12 units so it's not a massive place and they are all single story which we liked. We also loved our outdoor area on the deck where we could sit and relax and look at the pool. Having a kitchen was great - there was a good size fridge, kettle, toaster and hotplate, and there is a washing line out the back of each unit for beach towels/swimsuits. Paul and Rangi were great to deal with and answered lots of questions and offered advice about where to go. They had reef shoes to borrow and a good book library too - we read a lot! We liked that there was a shop next door for essential, and not so essential items (fresh pawpaw, yoghurt and Danish pastries for breakfast on the deck, yum!). It's also a petrol stop and sells great ice creams and there is a little cafe/takeaway there too. The bus stop is just across the road which makes getting around really easy - it was 20 mins on the bus to Averua On the beach it's 5-7 min walk to a beach bar and grill for lunches, cocktails and dinners. Another 5-7 minutes further on is the Falafel Shack - great food and tables on the beach, and a great coffee shop is nearby on the main road which opens at 7.30am - you can get to it via the beach, too.

Rarotonga in general has poor WiFi connections, it was unusable. But we hotspot off mobile roaming and that was okay. The service was of the room was little bit inconsistent. But overall great stay :)

The swimming pool was great fun. The garden is amazing. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and feel private. Just across the road was the beach. Bus stop right outside. Staff is friendly and super helpful. We would gladly stay there again.

Brkfst is good, location brilliant, next to the beach, I didn't get the chance to go to the beach but my grandaughter did. Awesome
