눉The first night we arrive near 12 PM, as I have let them know through mail and telephonic conversation, but the woman told me that because we arrived late, she had gave our room to someone else and that she'd give us another one for that night. They were building some rooms and they started around 8 in the morning. In San Pedro one has many tiring activities, so it's very bad that one can't rest until later if he/she wants. It's only some blocks from the center, but you have to walk through some dark and empty streets to arrive. They didn't have breakfast and the price wasn't cheap for what we got.
눇The room was nice, with a good bed and toilet. The owner (mum of the owner) was ready to help. However, took some decisions that did't let us very happy.

눉They were renovating when we stayed. It said 9-7 but was more like 9-8/9 some days. You couldn't relax by the pool because of the mess and the noise. You also had to use the kitchen for the house and no indoor lounge area. It's not a very social hostel so probably not great for solo travelers. They only speak Spanish here too which Can be a little difficult but we just used a translator app to communicate.
눇Very clean bathroom and rooms. They cleaned several times a day. Comfy beds and warm blankets. They had wifi but it doesn't work in your room. Perfect location. The host was very kind and welcoming. This hostel will be great once they have finished renovating!!!

눉Construction of new rooms was going on during my stay (late November 2015), so I would check in on that. It was loud, but the owner offered a discount. If you can afford it, I'd get a private room, since snoring travelers were a huge problem for me (not the hostel's fault, though). Limited hot water supply, but it's the desert after all. Keys could have worked better. Wifi was very slow. If you can split for the extra money, I'd probably stay along the road to Pukará de Quitor, somewhere a little farther out, but I'd stay at Lackuntur again.
눇Overall great, seemed like a fairly typical budget hostel for San Pedro. Interesting location by the cemetery (one of the most beautiful in the world...) Quiet except for neighborhood dog fights at night, but that's almost unavoidable in South America. No traffic noise. Short walk to "downtown." Friendly staff, though the owner's Spanish was a bit difficult to understand and she speaks no English. Nice place overall!
