Very beautiful hotel which I first visited in 2004 and then a number of times in later years. Fantastic location, delicious breakfast. Interesting that in contrast to previous years, staff was less international, but equally friendly and helpful.

The Nuo hotel is making it easy for Western visitors to come back to China for business. Located near the forbidden city with a staff who goes above and beyond, it is a perfect place to stay. I avoided Beijing traffic by walking to most meetings and taking the subway when I had to go farther afield. The managers - both daytime and nighttime - were extremely helpful. I arrived at 2 am and departed at midnight and they arranged the room timing so I didn't have to be waiting in the lobby and got a good night's rest. Services included printing, a nice breakfast and the lead concierge even ordered a supply for me delivered straight to my room. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Nothing, was great

Great location - short walk to Tiananmen Square and forbidden city. Also next to a busy shopping area with heaps of restaurants etc. staff were really nice, particularly at the breakfast. Breakfast was amazing - so many options. Gym was large for a hotel gym. To access pool you need a swimming cap so didn’t go.

There isn’t any aircon during winter and I guess is all the same for other hotels.

Love their buffet breakfast and the room big. They provide daily housekeeping service. Will love to visit the hotel in the future again. Best location and hotel is near to metro station and malls.

There was no option to put on air conditioning (we could only turn off the heater). There was also an extremely loud buzzing coming from the cupboard in the bathroom. This buzzing was constant and meant we had to have all doors to the bathroom closed. This felt quite unacceptable for a hotel of the grade. We also went to visit the pool and found that there was a children’s swimming class happening. This again was not what we expected from a high grade hotel, where guests want to use the pool to relax.

The room was large, comfortable and spacious. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, and we were provided with slippers, dressing gown etc. The location was also ideal!

The hotel itself looked modern, however the room we got seems to be dated. The bathroom looked like it had some changes done but still pretty old and the doors were difficult to lock for the bathroom. The breakfast buffet basically served the same items everyday.

The hotel was clean and was in a great location. Easy access to malls and train station.

location next to wangfujing street - amazing, right in middle of famous shopping streets and night markets room was super big and love the extra service of laying out your slippers for the night. bed was comfy and staff were incredibly nice and spoke very well english

This hotel is not up to 5-star hotel standard. Very disappointing! 1. Poor ventilation system in the room Our family stayed in 3 rooms and all of them didn’t have air conditioning with all windows unable to open. The rooms didn’t have ventilation at all. The hotel advised that the government does not allow them to have air conditioning in winter (Nov to Apr) regardless of how warm the weather was when we stayed there in early April (about 17-21c in the afternoon and the warm air still trapped in the room even at night time). Although the hotel provided us with box fan and movable air conditioning at our request, ventilation was just improved a bit and the room didn’t have much fresh air. I would recommend not to stay in here during March and April when no air con. 2. Poor cleaning in bathroom We wondered if the bath tub has been cleaned. When we turned on the tap at the bathtub, the water coming out was in YELLOW with rusty smell (presumably due to the rusted pipes)! It only turned back to normal color after 1-2 min! That’s really disgusting and we are sure that the tub has not been cleaned for ages or else the water coming out there would not be in yellow ! Also, There re 2 basins in my bathroom but 1 of them are clogged. The cleaning staff only realized that until the last day of cleaning (while we stayed there for 5 nights in total). 3. Bad cleaning in room The used teacup would not be changed or replenished when they did room cleaning! I guess they basically just throw away the garbage in most of the time. 4. Poor maintenance in room The shower area just has rain shower, which is not convenient for kids. The caper in the room had stains.

Location - It’s in prime location. .it’s very close to wangfujin subway station (exit c), about 1 min walk. It also within walking distance to the restricted area - tian an men and the palace. Good staff service - the staff were friendly and would try to help when needed. They can respond to our request promptly most of the time.

Everything was great.

The concierge, Coolio // Lee, was amazing. There is: doing a great job, going above and beyond and then there is: 'Coolio level service' , he was amazing. Helped me not only booking some of the key spots that I needed reservation for , to see in Beijing. He helped me with taxis, restaurants. He was honestly awesome. And the hotel is great, I only stayed for one night but the room was great, clean, everything and anything you need in it and more. The view is just the avenue that goes into Tiananmen square but !! that is the whole point!! the location is fantastic! right next to the Forbidden city and Tiananmen square. Really great ! The hotel staff even packed my breakfast for me to take with me at 2am, as I was going on my tour to the Great Wall. I would definitely stay there again !

Rooms are dated. Not enough USB plug in points and reception couldn't help with an adaptor. Staff were unaware of what was required for the swimming pool and had nothing to offer in regards to where I could purchase cap and goggles for the pool. Confusion over my bill. Handled by several different people poorly.
