The fact that in addition to the Chinese food, there was also European breakfast, separates it from the other hotels I had in China. Also, the staff was doing their best to help.

No free laundry facilities compared to other hotels we stayed during this trip. Nothing else to complain about. It is a good hotel to stay in Beijing!

Location of the hotel is great. Right at the doorstep of DongSi Metro station and one stop from Dongzhimen. A short walk to many good food. Staffs are extremely helpful and friendly; talked to us for quite a bit, introducing the changes in Beijing and provided us with information for our travels. Staff even help called up friend to find out more information for us. (We did approach them later at night when it is less busy for the staff)

This is a proper Swissotel. The staff were excellent, the property is newly refurbished and looks great.

Room was a little too hot and not easy to adjust (it was winter but we had to open a window). The pool needed better management to stop unruly children from disrupting people from swimming practice. Despite the non-smoking ban, I could smell cigarette smoke coming from a floor below; it's a nice hotel and an impressive refit, but not quite worth the price we paid.

Staff very attentive and the facilities were impressive, especially the pool and sauna. The location was really convenient for the metro and the most popular tourist sites in Beijing (the Great Wall was 1 hour away but the central sites were about 20 minutes by bike/metro). Good restaurants nearby.

Air conditioning not adjustable in winter (a teeming problem in most Beijing hotels) but windows do open. Bar is a bit soulless but nice tea available.

The bathroom has potential safety issues: heavy glass doors that can slam shut unexpectedly. The television doesn't have any non Mandarin programming.

Excellent staff at every position: front desk, room service, and The Swiss Café team were all extremely helpful and performed like a seamless team. The Swiss Café's breakfast buffet is first rate. The chefs are amazingly attentive.

Supposed to be less than a minute walk (literally just right outside the hotel) to the nearest underground station, but the whole station is closed for construction works during our stay (from Nov 2023 until end of Feb 2024 according to the site notice) Makes it 20mins walk to the next rarest station. Of course we called taxi anywhere we go, but many drivers had problem finding the hotel entrance. As the hotel location is at the corner inside a commercial complex.

Clean and fresh, spacious reception lobby with helpful staff. Decent restaurant, reasonable size gym and pool with changing rooms facilities. Guest room is clean and no cigarette smell, modern design with kettle, tea and coffee. Room size is a bit smaller than I expected however many surfaces to layout luggage and things. Bed is comfy, just bedding linen slightly too crispy and noisy, and down pillow are too soft and fade into nothing not my liking.

Friendly and polite staff made a free room upgrade taking into account our wishes. Free afternoon tea as a gift. The hotel has an excellent location: the metro is within walking distance, and in good weather you can see the mountains. Very clean and comfortable rooms with excellent service. Breakfast is delicious, dishes vary from day to day
