This is a wonderful place to stay for a family. It’s perfectly located in the heart of thriving Gethsemani. The staff were so kind to us and exceptionally tolerant of our Spanish.

Piccolo angolo di paradiso nella colorata Getsemani. Hotel pacifico e tranquillo, con staff gentile ed estremamente di aiuto e alla mano. -- Cozy and family run hotel in a great location. Room was spacious and comfortable room with great AC, hammocks and rocking chairs in the homely lounge area. The couple who run this hostel really care. They helped us contact the police when we were unfortunately targeted by a scam on a beach in the outskirts of Cartagena, and their assistance helped us get out of things safe and evade the scam.

We liked everything about the hotel: the location right in Getsemani was perfect, quiet and around the corner all the vibrant activity of the bars and restaurants. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty simpel, but very tasty and the hotel itself was lovely too. The courtyard with all the flowers, trees and charming decorations and our room with high ceiling, antique furnishings and hammock just a dream.

The rooms at the back as you approach from Callejon Las Palmas are above the cafe/bar which is part of the same property on Calle Adeagua, and they can be a bit noisy therefore

On the Edge of the fashionable Getsemani area - so bars and restaurants are just a few steps away, but it's quieter than being on one of the very central streets. Helpful staff - though not all speak English. Good breakfast. Good-sized room in which everything worked satisfactorily

Location, location, location! This lovely hotel is in a perfect location. Within a 10-min walk from the old town in Cartagena, it’s only a 2-min walk from Plaza de la Trinidad in Getsamani, which felt like the fulcrum of evening festivities in the city! Very nice room, with the fan system (which is essential in the heat) working very well. Good breakfast. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cartagena.

Some services were a bit pricy (relative to the low cost of the stay), but yeah, it's Cartagena.

I felt very comfortable at this hotel. The staff are friendly. I even got to know the owner there, and he seemed to be a very nice person. The hotel is within Getsemani (which is one of the city's top attractions) and very close to the walled city of Cartagena and the Castle San Felipe de Barajas. The breakfast is not an open-buffet, but it is rich and enough. The room air-conditioning worked perfect.

In the shower, water was getting out of the area, flooding everything around (probably because of the drainage system). During the rain, water was also dropping down in the shower. I would really love to have a bit more diverse breakfast:).

The room turned out to be huge and, basically, a section of the house with beams and no ceiling, huge windows and vintage furniture. You could feel the esthetic of colonial style. Three beds, including a king-size one, are pretty comfy. The wardrobe is huge but makes some sounds which remind it of its age. The bathroom was also super big and clean, recently renovated. The bedding and towels were fresh, and the rest of the fabric was vintage but clean. A lot of space for storage, AC and a safe. The room is located separately from the rest, so it was super calm there. The house has a very beautiful garden, although it was under reparation. Very friendly staff!

The hotel is a style of colonial house with a courtyard - very nice . Very well positioned with a 10 minute walk to the Torre del reloj (clock tower) with restaurants nearby . Staff very pleasant . Breakfast delicious.

Building works going on in the hotel while we were staying. Noisy and dusty during the day. Due to this areas not accessible as seen in pictures e.g hammocks in the court yard

There were little details were a minor inconvenience. The lack of soap in the bathroom, we were instructed to used the shower gel which meant getting in and out of the shower to wash our hands. Also, there was a construction going on, that even though it didn't start until late in the morning, was loud and a bit annoying during the day.

The hotel location was perfect, away from the noisy streets but still close to everything. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great.
