Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilBreakfast could be much better. Very low quality bread. Not enough variety of cheese or other.
The hotel offers one way shuttle to/from the airport and the service was punctual. Communication was efficient and the hotel staff very kind. The rooms are spacious and in perfect working order, although old style. The grounds are beautiful. Restaurant ok, with excellent beer choice.

Germany- When registering, you have to write down your passport number on a document, where everybody is listed. I could see all the data of other clients. I mentioned it to the staff and did not react much to it. - The bathroom ventilation sounds like a helicopter. - Loud hallways because they do not have any rugs. - The door felt very hard to close and unsafe. Outside the door frame, you could look a tiny bit in our room. - The breakfast is average. - At night, some pumps were running for several hours. I guess it was their water pump. It was very loud, and I had to use earplugs.
- There is an excellent restaurant with nice staff. Furthermore, they brew their own beer. The restaurant and hotel are in the same building, but do no belong together. - Nice garden with melons and a charming park with a pool to relax - Secure district and close to the airport. - Good price for two people. You won't get a better deal near the airport, in my opinion. - Nice and free hotel shuttle.

CanadaBeds were OK on the comfort level and there was a sewer smell coming out of the drains in the bathroom (easily fixable by adding "P shaped trap" plumbing part right under the sink+shower).
Close to airport, shuttle available (clear instructions + easy to find at the airport), helpful staff, clean room, delicious breakfast, beautiful garden and lots of places to play for children. We felt safe and had a great stay. I wish we had more time to stop by the brewery annexed to the building.

Perfect for overnight stay near the airport. The hotel is Costa Rican in style so felt like we were on holiday straight away. Great bar and restaurant. Beautiful gardens. Great value for money. Costa Rican style breakfast was nice but a bit limited.

We stay here often because I travel from SJO for business. The hotel is convenient for business travel. I love the airport shuttle service. Mostly we enjoy Dirigo Fermentario - the adjacent restaurant.

United States of AmericaThe water faucets were set up incorrectly. They should be hot on the left, cold on the right. Instead they were reversed.

United States of AmericaQuite echoey. It was pretty loud when people walked in the halls or moved furniture in the next room over... only tricky when you're trying to squeeze in a few hours of sleep before a very early morning flight.
The location was perfect for what we needed. Airport shuttle any time (1am for our family) was helpful and the facility had everything we needed. The pool was fun for kids to splash around in, and the gardens were a lovely bit of privacy and nature in the bustle of the city. Last of all, the restaurant on site was excellent!

United States of AmericaHotel pays for airport taxi one way. It was easy to find our contact when we exited the airport but we did have to wait 10-15 minutes for our taxi. Hotel called a taxi for us when we left and that was easy (US$13).
Very convenient to San Jose Int’l airport but quiet for sleeping. Neighborhood is not inspiring but the hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped so it’s a little oasis. Rooms have a small safe, two large beds, AC, TV and table w/ chairs. Bed is comfortable. Wifi was good for us. If you arrive after 9:00 p.m. the restaurant might be closed/closing (we were still able to get food to go which we ate in our room). Breakfast is typical: eggs, beans/rice, fruit, bread. Coffee was good (also typical for Costa Rica). We went to Bahia Drake/Corcovado and had luggage limits; we were able to leave some at the hotel until our return for continuing elsewhere in the country. Staff speak English well enough to manage without Spanish.
