눉The matress was not too comfortable, but we saw the staff exchanging matresses while we were there!
눇Staff is really nice and helpful (they book any tour you want for you) and breakfast is good and enough. It's located close to town center (about 3 minutes walk) with restaurants and a supermarket.

눉Even though we had a reservation confirmation (printed off) in our hands, the receptionist told us that we did not have a reservation, because we did not pay in advance (it was not stated in our booking confirmation that we should have paid in advance). She simply made a double booking and kept on telling us that it was our problem and that we could not have the room stated on our reservation confirmation, but could only stay if we paid more for another room. There were more examples like this, but fortunately the other receptionist was nice!
눇The room was clean and the view over Monteverde great. It had a good location and enough space to enjoy your own food and drink.

눉We were shocked about the service here. Don't ever book tours at this hotel. We wanted to go on nighttour in Monteverde national park, but Lily in the hotel reception told us that there were no night tours in the park. That was a lie! Instead she told us the only night tours was in another place. The next day we found out that there were night tours in the national park and that the hotel probably get a bigger commission for booking at the other place. The next day we booked a coffee tour at another agency. When the bus from this place was delayed Lily from the hotel said that this coffee tour was closed and that the place was under construction. This was also a lie. We were not allowed to use the phone to call the agency where we booked it, so that we could ask about the delayed bus. Later we find out that the booking agency called the hotel to tell us that the bus was delayed, but Lily would not give us this information. Lily lied to us twice, so that we would book tour that this hotel gets more in commission from. Futhermore we stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and there was no cleaning, they didn't even empty the trashcan for the toiletpapir, which was pretty discusting.
