The suite is really noisy. You can hear the motos and if the wind blows, it will wake you up. We were with a child so sleep is even more important.

The Breakfast is incredible. From toast to waffles. Different every morning. The view is breathtaking! There is a small lounge cover upstairs and a sunny balcony both open to public. The staff was resourceful and really helpful.

No air-conditioning (was fine with the weather in April) and with a street side room you can hear the occasional car driving by.

The property has a fully equipped kitchen and they provide a very good breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful (with a special type of humour 😉). The accommodation is very good value for the price.

We have almost no complaints, however it would have been nice to have a screen on the window.

The common areas were all really nice and a great place to relax with a nice view of the town. Friendly staff and very clean room. Great, updated private bathroom. Delicious and filling breakfast. There was a nice fan in the room.

I liked the view from the open area space and the hanging basket chairs. The kitchen staff were friendly. Breakfast was different every morning. The communal kitchen space adjacent to the dining area was well stocked and clean. All front desk staff were very helpful. Ro went above and beyond answering my many questions. It was easy to arrange a van pick up to go anywhere. Close enough to the grocery store and "downtown" Santa Elena. Since I'd been warned that the wind would be noisy and to not worry, I actually enjoyed listening to it.

Honestly the worst thing about the place was the staff almost never smiled. The reception desk people look burned out with an all business attitude. They would often say Pura Vida but they weren't really embodying it

Breakfast was wonderful even though they didn't have Eggs without milk. Great 24 seven access to the kitchen. Great view from the large patio terrace. Quiet, no smoking allowed anywhere on the property, very clean and well kept, beautiful areas to just sit and relax in sun or shade including several hanging wicker Chairs which I loved for my lengthy zoom calls !!

If i have to chose something it would be no storage for clothes and also it is next to quite busy road with single glazed windows so earplugs are a must if you are a light sleeper.

Amazing staff, very attentive and provided lots of information, very friendly and funny. The room was very nice, clean and very comfy. The terrace is amazing, beautiful views. There is a kitchen which can be used to prepare some food or drinks which is very handy.

Humble B&B in a central location of the Santa Elena town - few min walk to shops and restaurants. Nice view of the surrounding area and forest. Friendly, helpful and informative staff - assist with activity recommendations and booking. Cute breakfast consisting of various fruits and scrambled eggs with pancakes or toast. Room was small but comfortable. Plenty of off road parking

Nothing. The rooms don't have great noise insulation, but that's the same everywhere in CR. Didn't bother us at all, but if you're a light sleeper take earplugs.

This is the perfect place to stay in Monteverde. It's 3 minute walk into the town, with plenty of restaurants and shops close by. The staff are exceptional. We had brilliant service from the moment we arrived. Everyone is so friendly, and jokes with the guests. The reception staff were able to book us a bus to the cloud forest from directly outside. The rooms are small, but there's loads of comfy spots to sit around while you wait out the rain. Also - out of five hotels we stayed at in Costa Rica, this is the only one where the shower had both hot water and good pressure, which was a lovely surprise! Breakfast is good, easy to vegan-ise for us, usually just taking off eggs. No visitors are allowed, which we also appreciated as it meant that the chill out spaces were quiet. We would 100% stay here again if we visit Monteverde again.

No A/C so it can be hot but you are in the mountains so it tends to cool down. (We were here end of April)

The staff was excellent ! Anything you need they will help you with, they have bountiful knowledge of all Costa Rica. There is a communal kitchen and the breakfast is delicious. Beautiful views, very safe and secure. Great location.

Everything was great

We were greeted by Diego at the front desk. He was clear and very helpful. He spoke very good English which was a bonus for us. They booked a night tour and Selvatura Park for us and transportation was included .Another bonus! The breakfast was included and came with a separate plate of fresh fruit and another full plate. It was great. We had a room with our own bathroom and great views.

The bathroom was a bit cramped. A fan would have been nice for the room. That being said, we would still stay here again!

Reception staff were extremely helpful. They booked some awesome tours for us. When my husband left his camera on a shuttle bus, they immediately started making phone calls to track it down and have it returned - which it was, at lightning speed. The included breakfasts were fantastic, and the kitchen staff were friendly and kind. The breakfast was a little different each day, while always filling and delicious. The common spaces are amazing and the views are breathtaking. We wished our stay had been longer than a few days. I would have loved to have spent a whole day just reading a book in that setting!
