The location was great and the grounds were very peaceful. Free bottled water for guests and a substantial breakfast. The hotel rooms all had air conditioning.

With the open windows, you have to be ready for dirt blowing in. I had to wipe down the sink, wipe off the comforter and pillows a little, but again, I knew this ahead of time. There are lots of nature sounds at night, including howler monkeys, but again, I knew that to be the case, so I actually thought it was cool, some might not. It is a little rustic, but that's the experience we wanted and I would change a thing!

I loved the character and ambiance of this property. It was everything I hoped it would be. The pool and the grounds are very nice, and loved the individual houses. The staff was always available and very friendly. The beds/bedding also very nice! Breakfast was simple, but lovely. Go for the carribean rice, beans, eggs, toast for local flare! Also, the rocking chairs on our private porch was an added enjoyment. The shower was large, and very nice! Especially loved the property at night.....such cool lighting!

water pressure in the shower could be better. If you are sensitive sleeper then the cottages next to the street are not recommended. We did not mind.

Very nice hotel with lovely garden and breakfast where you can see birds and agoutis. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Fridge at the reception with free water bottles. Location of the hotel is also grand as it's close to nice beaches and restaurants.

Our internet was very slow, if we could even get it. Sometimes we would hardly get any water pressure for the shower.

It would have been nice to have more sun loungers and for them to have cushions as they were a bit hard!

Very tranquil spot (apart from sometimes being woken at 5am by howler monkeys! 😂) Had very good breakfast and enjoyed the lovely pool. Appreciated the safe in the room, and having a TV and Netflix was handy in the evening. The accommodation is slightly out of town but we were able to get tuk tuks. Nice restaurants a short walk away, and about a 20 min walk to a large supermarket.

Perfect location far enough away from the lively Puerto viejo but close enough to enjoy! Although they don't offer a laundry service they still organised to clean our clothes. Local Agoutis roam the premises.. lovely stay!

The Balinese style bungalows are beautiful but as there are no real windows (just wooden shutters) you get some traffic noise from the road. Luckily not much during the night. If AC is a must for you, this place is not for you, there are just ceiling fans in the bungalows. For us, this was not an issue at all, the fans were sufficient. The only thing that's not there is a mini bar/fridge. You get free water bottles at the reception but they're pretty warm and there's no way to get cold water to drink.

I booked here because of the position, it's an easy walk to a number of nice restaurants. The gorgeous beaches of Punta Uva are an easy bike or tuktuk ride away. The breakfast in the garden is lovely! They bring you a big plate of fruit and a dish of your choice. I loved the pancakes. The premises are well kept, and the swimming pool is a nice bonus. Friendly staff at the reception. We had a view to the sea from our bungalow's little terrace. Very relaxing to sit on a rocking chair and watch the world go by! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and I'd happily book here again.

The wooden huts are a similar style to the ones in Indonesia which is a little different to any others we saw. The gardens, wow, utterly beautiful. The gardeners are always busy keeping it looking beautiful. The pool is nice and big and very clean. Across the road is a beautiful beach which is also beautifully clean. There are many restaurants to eat within walking distance. Our favourite, spicy coconut 2 doors down along the beach. All the staff are so kind and helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our holiday the best experience. The breakfasts were well cooked and served by our lovely waiter who just wanted to please…,honestly if you want great service in a beautiful spot then I can’t fault the place. Cant wait to go back and when we do we’ll be going to Lana Ban

The place is beautiful, with a lot of details. The staff is super friendly and willing to help you with anything. Breakfast is good, the place is quiet and calm and the location is amazing!! Totally worth it! We went for my husband's birthday and the staff put some decoration on or room, that was lovely!

A bar would have been nice, but otherwise everything was lovely.

Very chilled and peaceful atmosphere. Room was spacious and facilities were good. Just across the road from the beach and good cafes nearby. Supermarket and laundry a ten minute walk. The water isn't drinkable but free bottled water available in the fridge in reception. The pool was lovely too. Staff really helpful.
