As above . More loungers needed and make clear if ocean view room or not .

Great location and beautifully set in jungle beside beach . Free yoga and jungle walk excellent . Staff very friendly and helpful . Only cons would be it’s worth making clear and ocean suite beachfront doesn’t necessarily mean an ocean view as this is what we assumed and also need a lot more beach loungers as always in short supply . Overall would highly recommend

The roof was leaking on a few places. We reported it on day one but nothing was done about it.

Beautiful place, near to the see. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice swimming pool in the middle of the rain forest.

Just small things - Air conditioning a bit noisy in the room and would have liked a lid on bathroom bin.

Clean and comfortable with a little taste of the rainforest on the verandah outside the room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant was great and right by the beach. Saw a poisonous dart frog and sloths just outside the hotel. Walking distance from the jaguar rescue centre.

Staff should do something about guests and the sloths, People got too close and it scares them. They should guide tourists on how to behave when animals are around.

Nice enough room although facing the bins at the rear was not great. Sunbeds by jungle pool very uncomfortable. Hot jacuzzi turned off at night so cold in the mornings. Food (both breakfast and dinner) fine, you would not say bad, but you'd probably choose somewhere else night 2 like we did. All in all a nice stay, but they need help and advice setting this place up to be very good

Nice enough room. Reception staff mainly were fine. Sunbeds in the beach / garden are lovely. Location was good bearing in mind (we had a car). Overall a nice stay

The breakfast. Terrible. Sometimes depends of the time was not enough food. Poor options to call it buffet. Was a better breakfast when they had menu. Even in pandemic the food was better.

Had to move my room due to maintenance which seems the staff didn’t communicate well since it was after check in time, went with my family to the room and the staff was working on the a/c. Then when we get assigned another room my son gets stuck inside the bathroom since the door was not working properly and when reported took too long for the staff to come fix which I was able to get my son out myself. The restaurant service was very slow but besides that overall good.

We had an inconvenience when we arrived, we booked a deluxe superior room with a king bed, however they assigned us a room with 2 beds and mentioned we should specify in the reservation we need need 1 bed ( no make sense if i choose this previously), after sone conversations with the manager and keeping my position and didn’t accept the room the assigned, they finally give us the right room with 1 bed for my husband and I.

Is very dirty in general and there’s no care in common areas. Is very unfortunate that they have stop caring to uphold their good reputation. The gardens look terrible like no one cares. Is definitely not wat used to be.

My door key 🔑 was difficult. It took almost multiple tries every time to get it open. The sheets are old...although clean, some have stains.

The location is perfect. The beach is gorgeous and private. The room nestled in the rain forest with a balcony is very tranquil. The staff is very helpful and polite. I have enjoyed my time here and will be back.

The surroundings next to the beach area could be ‚cleaner‘ and tidier, the tiles on the floor for example but i am being picky!😊

The hotel was really cute, with different pools and a nice breakfast. The restaurant with entertainment at night was also really good. The room was beautiful with a view on a lush garden with sloths, parrots, tucans…etc the staff was just wonderful, helpful and super friendly. Bog up to the manager and the great entertainer Klaus🤪

The hotel is about 3k outside of Puerto Viejo so if you want lots of restaurants and bars close by, this is not the case.

The hotel is one of the nicest in the area. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the setting of the jungle is beautiful and the rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Gigi’s restaurant has a really good menu and the food is tasty and high quality. The hotel has several pools and a beach club that is a perfectly chilled out place to relax so there is something for everyone. I would highly recommend.

I didn't like the mold smell... after a thorough cleaning was great, but after a day the mold smell was profound. I understand that in this super humid weather is impossible to avoid it.

I loved the mosquito nets and AC in the room. The ambiance is stunning! Beautiful view from the ocean side rooms. Food is really good... we actually didn't go out and kept eating at the restaurant.

The reception was too informal, the monitors were placed as a barrier between the receptionist and the visitor. Was unexpected, you couldn't see their faces and it felt like they didn't care. A complimentary glass of water would have been nice too, after driving for 4.5 hours to get there.

The room was nicer than expected, breakfast was ok, more options would have been better and the beach view was great from the Gigi Cavana.
