눇The accommodations are beautiful, the staff is friendly, helpful with providing information about the area, and very hard working to keep the place in excellent condition. And breakfast was excellent. Don't miss the path down to the river, it's a beautiful spot.

눇This was my favorite place to stay during my solo trip to Costa Rica. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. I arrived here on my birthday and stayed 3 nights. I was greeted by the owner I believe upon check in and they gave me a nice pineapple-ish drink while they went to see if my room was ready (I arrived before check-in time). Room - I was upgraded from the double bed cabin to their superior cabin (one queen/dbl bed with a kitchenette) which worked out great since I was solo. I stayed in cabin #5 which is angled perfectly where you can just look out your window or front porch to see the volcano. I spent A LOT of time on the back porch falling asleep in the hammock. The mattress was firm which I like. The room and bathroom were clean. The room came with a safe and open closet with hanging rod and shelves in the bathroom. The shower was clean and water pressure and hot water great. The only thing that takes some getting used to is not flushing toilet paper in the toilet and in the waste can instead. On my first night, i thought I heard bats squeaking outside my cabin, but I checked in the morning and I saw that there were some nests tucked up in the roof so just birds. Breakfast - I paid the additional fee to have breakfast every morning during my stay which I recommend.Breakfast is across the street at the owner's house on the front porch. It was raining heavily one morning and since the porch is covered, I didn't get wet (they also have golf size umbrellas near the front office). Also, bring your camera with you to breakfast. They put bananas and the most beautiful and colorful birds come into their yard. The family is great. The lady that cleans the room made a different animal for me with the towels every day. I wasn't expecting to see a sloth during my time in Arenal, but after coming back from La Fortuna waterfall one afternoon, one of the younger guys came and told me there was a sloth in one of the trees behind one of the cabins.
