The staff were very friendly and helpful. They sent a taxi to pick us up from the airport and Veronico, our taxi driver, happened to be a tour organiser on Sao Vicente and on Santo Antão. He was so knowledgeable and made our 3-day stay (between those two islands) perfect. We had time to go on two hikes and still discover Sao Vicente. +++ The beds were exceptionally comfortable

we only had the one key to the room, two ( one each) would have been helpful, but a small moan for an otherwise fine stay.

Comfortable old skool but ultra modern stay in city centre, a few interesting streets from the centre. We only stayed a night, but that was fine, huge festival going on in the city centre, so we joined in and had such fun. Room large, cool and understated style, bathroom fine, hot water etc, all good, Linen all fresh and plenty of it. Staff laid back, breakfast the usual, but enough of it, and the pool hidden in the centre of the house a decadent indulgence after the dusty Mindelo streets.

Nothing we did not like but one point to notice. One thing to know is that credit cards are not accepted and it was not very clear on Booking. It ended up being tricky and unsafe to withdraw cash on our last day. It could be clearer.

The place is stylish, very well located, beds are comfortable, staff is very helpful.

Though the staff was really nice and kind, they weren't truly helpful in giving us information on where to go, where to eat or what to see. They have some flyers and books at the reception but they would not provide you with many tips, even if you ask for it.

The hotel is a beautiful colonial house with a patio at the center and a small pool. The staff is welcoming and the kitchen ladies are really nice! The room was very comfortable and clean. At the last day, as we were leaving really early they were really kind and prepared us a breakfast sooner than scheduled.

Quite dark rooms and by a hot day, the fans are not always enough to cool the room. Credit card not accepted.

Good central location, old world charm, very comfortable bed and good breakfasts. Nice staff and extremely clean. Nice outdoor areas to sit. We went back to stay a night after a trip (and before our return fllight) because it so good.

The mattress of double bed in the family is hard as a rock. The pillows were also uncomfortable and the duvet has seen better days. They really need an update! When other guests arrive at the hotel you can hear every noise they make.

Receptionist was not always helpful clear. Said she would book us a 7.15am taxi for our 8.25 flight which didn’t arrive when we left at 7.15 and waited until 7.25. We ended up finding our own taxi. The street was very noisy and the room, even though hot, we didn’t feel comfortable opening the shutters given the people outside on the street as we were ground floor room. The safe was out of order. Guests either checked in or out at 4am which meant we were awakened by people banging through the lobby for twenty minutes talking which disrupted our night and coupled with the dogs barking outside meant our sleep was frequently broken. We were told breakfast started at 7am which we thought would work for our 7.15am departure but breakfast did not start until 7.30am.

The breakfast ladies who sorted us out with an early breakfast at 7am. The room was well nicely decorated and comfortable bed, although slightly dark and being ground floor couldn’t open shutters for light. The location was close to the centre of town and a nicely refurbished building

The host couple is really nice and accommodating. They organised us a tailored tour on the spot when we arrived. They prepared us a breakfast to take away as we left early the next morning and finally they let us paid after several days when we returned to Mindelo as we had no cash with us when we slept there.
