Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Ukraine• The hotel is on a quiet side street, where it is not as noisy as on the main street. The windows overlooked the courtyard, so it was great to sleep in silence at night. But not always. For several days we found ourselves with noisy neighbors. Unfortunately, the sound insulation is not very good and sometimes you can hear everything: snoring, laughter, speech, screams... • The room is small for the money, the furniture is not the newest, but at the same time everything is very clean, neat and cozy. The bed seemed a little uncomfortable: narrow, and the pillow, on the contrary, was too wide. I won’t say that it was as comfortable as possible to sleep, but overall, I managed to get a good night’s sleep. • The staff is very welcoming, polite and friendly. You can get help from the receptionist at any time without any problems. • Breakfasts are served for a fairly long and convenient period of time. Whether you want to get up early, have breakfast and go on a city tour, or, on the contrary, sleep longer, relax and still have time for breakfast - you will succeed in both options. The choice of dishes at breakfast is not very large, but, as for me, it is sufficient so that for several days you can make it varied and at the same time tasty and nutritious. • The location of the hotel relative to tourist places is good. The central alley leading to the National museum is a 3-5 minute walk away. The Old Town and Charles Bridge are a 15-20 minute walk away. If you walk a further, you will see a gorgeous park and Prague Castle. 30-40 minutes walk from the hotel to the New Town and Vyshgrad.

IsraelIn the entrance to the breakfast dining room there is a small slope on the floor carpet. People can fall if they don't notice it (happened to us a few times). I recommend the hotel staff to mark it with some white/yellow color and a warning sign. Several times the internet connection broke temporarily.
We liked the big rooms (we had the family suite which is like 2 big adjacent rooms with a common hall entrance), the courtesy of the staff. The breakfast is rich with a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. We had a coffee machine in our room, and the staff refilled it after we asked. It's located about 15-20 minutes walking from main attractions, and there is also public transportation around (metro, tram).

We had a wonderful stay at the 1. Republic Hotel. It is well-located, everything within reach (7 min walk to the National Museum). The rooms were clean, big enough and well-equipped. The receptionists have always been friendly. Especially Jakub who helped us a lot with any matter and was open for nice chats about sights and events. If we come back to Prague, we will definitely stay in this hotel again.

United States of AmericaA few minor updates would be nice but overall didn't negatively impact our stay - the kettle in the room didn't heat much and the hair dryer was pretty weak, and a lightbulb in the stairwell was out between the ground and first floor. These would not prevent me from returning, though!
Delicious breakfast with some rotation of the offerings to get us started in the morning, and a really quiet room to return to in the evening. Appreciated that staff was around at the front desk whenever we went by - this was especially helpful with our late check in after 10:30pm!

SerbiaRoom was great, warm, very clean, large clean bathroom. Great breakfast. Great location, only 7-10minutes walk distance to the center and old town. Easy check in, polite and kind stuff on the reception. We got one small champagne bottle as a present. Parking only 10euros per night, in the underground hotel garage. Parking system is automatic, you take out all the luggage in front of the garage, go to reception and they go oustide with you to navigate you to properly position car at the platform. You lock the car and thats all. On checkout, you wait for the car for about 10mins. There are limitations for the car dimensions, you should check firstly. (L-5m, W-2m, H-2m) We will stay again in this hotel for sure, when we go to Prague for another time.
