Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe bathroom in the rooms could use a refurbishment.
Getting to the hotel was easy and the parking under the hotel in the garage was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices (the only negative was the varity was same for both the days of our stay). The room was spacious and very comfortable beds. Getting to the city was very easy with tram station just opposite the hotel. The hotel had the choice of restaurant inside the premises but we ate in the city mostly :-) Cherry on top was the bottle of wine as welcome drink on our arrival :-)

Czech RepublicMy favourite place to stay when I'm in Prague. Extraordinary view from rooms (my executive was last time in 22th floor close to executive lounge and just under spa). Really tasty breakfast with choice of Czech specialities. Very comfortable bed. Room service a few times a day. Whole hotel is also very interesting piece of architecture. Very good choice for the price.

NetherlandsThings for improvement, not a complaint: The curtains are hard to close in a manner that no light comes in. The bathroom looks a little dated and is not so big. Personally I prefer a big spacious shower over showering in a (small) bathtub.
Very good breakfast, there is a huge choice. The view over the city is amazing! It might be worth it to make sure you have a view on the side of your preference.

United StatesThe rooms were slightly dated but the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location relative to the conference center. A bit far from the major sites in the city but manageable.

GermanyThis hotel should be closed for extermination!!! I was staying on the 16th floor in room 1623. I never thought I would have such a bad experience. I was bitten by bed bugs very badly, I went to the reception to tell them and the hotel employee told me that I might be allergic to the bed linen ;). I left the hotel straight to the hospital where I was told it was bed bug bites. Avoid this hotel as it is full of bed bugs due to the 30+ year old wooden furniture.

LatviaA Superior queen room was as from 90-ties and very worn out. The ventilation system was very laud, it is not possible to use in a night. You can hear elevators in a room in the night, for example in the room No1725. We asked to change a room and the room was changed. It could be good 4-stars hotel.
A price. The service of check-in/check-out was very fast for that large hotel. The room was clean. The staff is very professional and polite.

United KingdomThe main problem about staying at the hotel — the staff just forgot to inform me about the minibars price list in my room. They also didn’t leave any piece of information there, and one week later I was charged round 70€! Which is very annoying. When I mailed the staff, they said, it was in my room, but really? I am not blind or stupid! You just didn’t checked if the price list in the room. Disappointing.
The breakfast was good, the view is beautiful

NetherlandsThe hotel is very old and worn out. It is not worth the price which is being charged. Furniture is outdated and broken. Lifts are making so much noise that you can hear it in a third room from the lift. We had a room next to the lift and the noise is just horrible- day and night. We changed the room next day to 1 further and the noise was still there. The overall interior and facade are outdated and it is visible. I travel a lot and I have seen much better. The price per night is too high. 5 stars is only valid for the service you get. Only the staff I would give 5 stars.
The staff at the hotel is doing everything to accommodate the guests. Every request is being handled with care and respect.

RomaniaThe furniture and facilities are rather old and tired. The shower was broken and the drainage was poor. The cleanliness can be significantly improved. One of the mattresses (in a twin room) was quite slanted. All in all, quite disappointing for a 5* experience, those stars must've been earned a very long time ago.
Two things were quite impressive at this hotel: the views from up high and the speedy elevators. The staff was courteous, but the room attendant who came to ask if our stay was good didn't speak much English. The subway station in front of the hotel is just two stops away from the city center.
