This place is a hidden gem! It is very peaceful and quiet, especially in the evenings and mornings when there are not many tourists around. Breakfast with the Neuschwastein Castle view, free parking lot for hotel guest, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. You can get to the castle early in the morning to avoid the crowds which arrives around 9.00 am. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Foods were good, could be a little bit more variety.

Rooms are excellent, especially old furnitures. It seems like home and there is a life in there. Staffs were so friendly and kind. It takes just five minutes by walking to an amazing lake and also Schloss Neuschwanstein can be seen from the hotel. There is also sufficient area for parking just near the hotel.

Just like in the castle, you go back in time a bit and we liked that. The stairs and hallways were a fun maze with a nice view of the castle from the restaurant. The restaurant people were very friendly.

Hot water was not always available.

Great location (shops/castle/city/restaurants/buses & mountains). Very calm & clean. Big room w/a balcony. Pet friendly (beds, food & water bowl). Staff was very efficient, kind & helpful. Free parking. Good food (breakfast/dinner). We enjoyed our stay a lot. Will come back again. Strongly recommend this hotel.

The beds were ok, but the metal frame and the cushions weren't really that comfortable.

The service personell was super friendly. We forgot sth. in the apartment and they brought it to us after we had checked out already. The rooms are very spacious and would also be suited for a work trip. A plus was the bidet in the bathroom. The view onto the Castle Neuschwanstein from the bedroom was just amazing. Overall definitely worth it. And the breakfast was alright.

There were not a lot of dinner options around, dinner in the hotel was ok, but expensive for what you get. Traffic getting to this location is a nightmare. None of the car charging infrastructure nearby was usable with the different charging cards we brought.

This hotel is physically the closest one can get to sleeping in the two famous castles. The horse carriage start point is right at the hotel. Staff had prepared a bed for our dog and even put out some food for her. Breakfast is excellent.

We were welcomed warmly by the staff, and we were given much personal attention. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, and the location was perfect for seeing the castles. We enjoyed the food and had excellent service!

Location was perfect - we could walk to both castles, the museum, eating options, and shops. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!! It was included in the price and well worth it. Mani and Gabi served breakfast and were warm, welcoming, and efficient. Our room looked right out to Neuschwanstein - picture - perfect! The hotel is old-school traditional, comfortable and very clean.

Great Bavarian hotel for a comfy stay. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We had supper at the restaurant and then a proper Germany breakfast. Highly recommended.

Attractive older historic hotel, right in the center of town. Location and parking was our number one criterion: this hotel is the most central. There is free parking at the hotel, and the location is next to the ticket office and the paths to both of the two castles. The rooms are large and with comfortable beds. Everything is in perfect shape, clean, no issues. Excellent breakfast, with a range of both hot and cold food in large quantities, all served personally to the table. Any extra was helpfully packed to take away. Dinner is the restaurant was acceptable though not outstanding. We visited off season, so most of the town was shut down, I presume the town is a lot more crowded everywhere in the summer. Still would stronly recommend the hotel. Hotel management is sometimes able to help with tickets even when online it’s not possible.

Location may not be as accessible without tour buses or if you don’t drive.

The hotel staff was very nice to assign us a suite as we requested for a family room. Thus, the room was simply huge with 1 bathroom and 1 toilet. We felt like a king as breakfast was served to us based on what we ordered! They kitchen baked us fresh croissants! Most importantly, by foot, you should reach the castle between 20 to 30 mins though abit of a slopey walk up. Alternatively, you may book a horse carriage.

Pillows were huge and hard to sleep on. The regular beds were comfortable if you like a hard bed (I do). The extra bed was too too hard
