Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalThe location for me was the worst part. It was close to the center, but a little bit sketchy in the evening.
Everything was simple, but good quality. Better than I was expecting for the price. The breakfast was standard buffet, but really good.

PolandWeak wifi signal, no ventilation in the bathroom, after every shower the door was wet, the cleaning is done only superficially (top of the wardrobe was full of dust).
Very good location next to the zoo and train station, helpful staff, café.

AustriaI cannot evaluate breakfast, because it wasn't include in the booking price, however, cleaning decerves to be better, while it was quite regular and affect mainly sanitary area and re-making the bed.
If they find a simple way to stay in Berlin for 2-3 days in close to city facilities, this hotel is undeniably what that you want. Price for the room seems to be democratic for this city and hotel location near Kudamm, markets, unterground and city tram is considered to be optimal

United KingdomThe room is quite small and breakfast overpriced.
Nice and clean room with stylish design, perfect location for a tourist, 5 min walk from train station and close to metro and tram lines, city tour bus just around the corner. Great value for money.

GermanyWiFi close to non-existant (room was in the far corner of the hotel - had to go to the lobby)
Spacious room with a comfortable bed, looking over a quiet courtyard - everything needed for a short business trip.

HungaryThe wifi is useless most of the time (room 633). The room was pretty packed, but if its for sleeping only, as you roam Berlin during the day, its okay.
The roof-terrace is a very enjoyable spot. Also the amenities on the ground-floor (coffee shop, restaurant…) are good.

BulgariaNoisy location - generated by both public transport and groups of guests exercising little self-control. Our room was pretty dark, but this is not the common case. The bathroom was stinky, as were some parts of the neighbourhood too.
Convenient location with many opportunities for sightseeing, shopping, and socializing around. Excellent public transport connections. Safe box in the room. The bathroom was quite spacious and with thermostatic shower mixer. Breakfast is with a good variety and over the weekend is for an extended period. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. We appreciated the early check in.

TurkeyThe only thing that would have made it better for me would have been if the room was a little bit bigger. Also, there were homeless people sleeping under the bridge in front of the supermarket next to the S-bahn entrance but there was no inconvenience caused by this.
The price/performance ratio was really high for this hotel. Location is perfectly central right by the Zoo S&U-bahns. The rooms were cleaned every day which was important for me. The bed was medium comfortable and enough space to put our clothes and other stuff.

United KingdomTerrible terrible WiFi which for a hotel of this standard in 2024 is appalling Seemed to be full of groups of schoolchildren literally hundreds of them. To be fair they were generally well behaved but still 🤷🏼♂️ Maybe they were using up all the WiFi 🙄 Breakfast is not included in room price - €16 extra - and that’s on offer- to put this in perspective you can eat at the nearby Zoo train station much better and for half the price) No fridge or kettle or drinking glasses in room Room clock didn’t work Window view of multi story car park and subsequent slamming of car doors in the evening No English channels on tv Quite a few drunks hang around on the street outside - not threatening or anything but they are there in the shadows And finally one morning they tested the fire alarm at 830am. It lasted for ten minutes and I had to go down to reception to check if there was a problem. When I returned to my room it had stopped but then started again! A technician arrived and told me it was just a test and would stop after TEN minutes. I explained it had been going for 29 minutes but he didn’t seem concerned. It eventually stopped but 🤷🏼♂️ Overall disappointed no personal interaction at all from the moment I checked in and I stayed 6 nights - the only time I spoke to anyone apart from checking in and out - was to complain about the fire alarm waking me up
Could and should be a fabulous hotel. Great location right next to Zoo Station and Ku’dam shopping Nice art cinema and supermarket next door Lots of food and drink options nearby Smart comfortable room with a safe, great bedside reading lights and usb sockets. Hot shower with lots of towels lotions etc Generally quiet (despite singing school kid’s running around)

LuxembourgDue to its great location, the hotel was also an ideal accommodation for youth groups, which can be loud at times, even in the evening and in the back of the Hotel there is a soccer court, where you hear the football banging if kids are playing. Not the biggest issue, but for quite lovers, perhaps not the ideal place to stay.
The room is very spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel sits at a great location right at the Bahnhof Zoolog. Garten, which is surrounded by lots of restaurants and an easy access SBahn station.
