Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hotel upper flow “penthouse” have slanted wall of windows with electric blinds and a small deck that provided good light and views. Fun bits of mural art on the wall add a whimsical feel. Staff were supper friendly and helpful.

SwitzerlandNice hotel, but seems to be overpriced for what it offers. Unfortunately our special request for additional sleeping place for a child was not satisfied and not communicated in advance - this spoiled our impression.

United KingdomIt was all very nice but some guests would need to be aware of the steps and uphill nature of the short walk from town to hotel.
The reception staff were superb, professional and polite and very pleasant. This is a modern hotel located on a low hillside out side of the main town.

United KingdomThe pool facilities were great, just a little old and needs a refresh. Found the hotel information a little confusing, QR codes are used in the room to link you to information but some didn’t work. Would be good to have a piece of paper with phone number/instructions for room service etc.
Receptionists were both really lovely, super friendly and happy to help. Hotel had everything we needed and the bedroom was great, loads of space, cool architecture and felt very clean.

Netherlandswe have an EV and while it was great that we were able to reserve a parking space with a charging station, it only worked with Tesla cars. the 2nd charger apparently was able to charge some non-Tesla but not our Kia. pity. but the hotel kindly refunded the garage and we easily found a public charging station in the city centre

GermanyWe had an ant trail in the room, which we also reported immediately after check-in, but it was removed on the second day by the use of pesticides while we were away. The pool is relatively small, with more than 2-3 adults swimming is no longer fun. Neither the beer garden nor the barbecue were in operation and could therefore not be used, which we found a pity as the hotel seemed quite booked now in Whitsun period and the weather was excellent. The fitness room with old rusty equipment is a joke. Breakfast was ok, but for 17.50€ extra per person, one could have expected a wider selection. We were able to charge our e-car for free, which we appreciated (after all, the hotel advertises this service), but we found the 12.50€ parking fee per night in the garage for hotel guests (the only way to charge the car) to be quite a rip-off, and I don't remember reading that when booking.
Very friendly, family-run hotel close to the city (not directly in the centre of Saarbrücken). The room was really great, electric blinds, view of the trees/mountain. Strong air conditioning, large (but unfortunately too hard) bed and top bathroom/WC. We let them know in advance that we were travelling with a BEV, asked for charging during our stay and there was even a sign in the car park with my name on it indicating a reservation near the charging plug. A nice/unexpected gesture. When we checked out, we were given a bottle of "Triller Beer", a German beer with the hotel's special label, as a parting gift, which we appreciated.

CyprusThe self check-in system could use some work - it reads the QR code just fine but it for some reason it is very picky with which card it will accept for payment/authorization. The location itself is also a a bit of a walk away from the city and the train station.
The area is actually quite pretty and tranquil, staff were very helpful and nice. The rooms are decently sized and something you would expect from a hotel of this size.

NetherlandsDuring the evening the garage is closed, which is good. However we arrived by electric car and the reserved (working) charging point is inside the garage. We weren't informed so we couldn't charge during the night, which was a problem the next day. Despite this we had to pay for parking.
Modern and clean hotel, easy to find at a good location. The rooms are very spacious, well maintained and clean. Personnel is very friendly and supportive. Spacious parking, both outside and inside. Also there are e-Steps available for easy transfer to nearby restaurants or shops.
