Interior looks a bit old-fashioned but it’s being kept well maintained and clean.

I got updated to a superior room and could choose whether to be on the quieter backstreet side or the louder riverside. Opted for the riverside because I had to get up early and thought the morning traffic wouldn’t bother me too much. Room and bathroom were very spacious, comfortable bed.

A cosy hotel at the river bank (Neckar). Spacious rooms, nice, attentive staff, superb value for the price. An amazing breakfast. Free parking places available. Absolute worth to stay there if you visit Heidelberg.

I had missed the note that parking needs to be pre-booked and is charged extra. Which was my fault, but be aware if you want to park close to the hotel. Parking along the street is free, but to me looked like it might be difficult to get a space close to the hotel sometimes.

The hotel is located overlooking the river Neckar, which is beautiful. In order to get into Heidelberg you need a car, although I'm sure there is a bus connection too. The room was large and clean. The beds comfy.

It was mentioned that hotel has parking place but when we arrived they said we had to book it in advance and the cost was extra 7 euro, even when i said i will pay; they said it is already overbooked. Also there was no dental kit and similar items included in the room.

There was no lift so I had to carry my heavy bag up and down several flights of stairs. The room just had a bath and as the ceiling slopes significantly, it was uncomfortable. There were very noisy guests on the same floor as me.

The bus stop was right outside the hotel which was very convenient. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety. The room was clean. I booked parking, which was also convenient.

Parking is limited and you have to pay extra to be on site. Otherwise your parking on road. Breakfast should be complementary. Same breakfast fare that was included in every other hotel stayed at. Cost of $15 a person, outrageous.

Cons: The biggest is it has no air conditioning. I had no idea hotels have no air conditioning. It doesn’t have an elevator, but it’s not a tall building. If you have a river front room it can be noisy. We didn’t care. The Single room is what it says. The bed is big enough for two people but it is 18m2.

Pros: super clean hotel. It is comfortable. Our room was small but appointed well enough. It had a desk, closet, and luggage shelf. There were 2 chairs on the balcony which we enjoyed immensely. Great, friendly, bi-lingual (at least, German and English), good food, street parking.

There is no lift and it was very difficult to haul our heavy bag up to the top floor. Dinner was expensive compared to what we are used to, and limited choice. My 7-year daughter wrote on a post-it: "This is not the best hotel I have ever stayed at but I liked the view". No tea or coffee in the room

Magnificent view from our room over the river Neckar. Good food. The manager was very friendly and considerate. We were allowed to have coffee in the morning even though we hadn't paid for breakfast.

The hotel sits between 2 roads, if you are a light sleeper the road noise could be a problem. A fan supplied as no Airconditioning! There was a kettle but no cups etc. To our surprise there was a small refrigerator

Loved the free upgrade to a river view room. Lovely little balcony with large opening glass door. Great location, bus stop outside to go into old town(7stops). Easy cycle. Family run restaurant with excellent food. Breakfast available at an extra cost. Parking also available at an extra cost as well.

Would have been nice to have shades that worked on the windows but curtains were sufficient. A coffee pot with coffee would have been nice.

No lift in the building, no mini bar available in the room

It is very clean, room size is good, location on the river, a bite away from the city centre which better as the street will be less noisy. Halal food is granted in the hotel, good and tasty breakfast
