Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe location and staff was super friendly and amazing. They were very accommodating and willing to guide you in the correct direction and answer any questions. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of options from fresh omelette, smoke salmon. The sauna here was amazing, sadly when we was there the bigger of the two sauna room was out of order. The view from our rooms were amazing with the snow falling down. The location is very close by to local bars and restaurants. It was kind of cool to hear the church bell ring at night while you sit outside on the balcony. My only complaint I had was the massage I received during my visit. I requested a 50 minute massage, which they had to call the person in. I met the masseuse in the lobby when he arrived, he felt like he was not in a good mood off the bat, but my back was killing me and needed it loosen. As he did the massage there was awkward silences and the music he played weren't very soothing. After he finish the massage, I felt it was quick. I did not thinking anything of us, I went to the front counter to pay for the massage. The receptionist ask if everything was good, I politely said yes. He was also a bit confused when he said was it 30 or 50 minutes? I answered I requested 50 a bit confused. After I paid and went to sauna to catch up with my friends, they were confused and ask wasn't your massage 50 minutes? That was when I realized he only gave me a 35 minute massage. This was the only con and thing I would advise is to not book the massage there but the staff and hotel itself is amazing!

United States of AmericaThe use of harsh and cool white fluorescent bulbs, and the addition of some non-historic furniture gives the lobby and common areas a rather cheap feel.
The Hotel is in a wonderful historic building. Comfortable beds, good breakfast.

SwitzerlandA beautiful, elegant hotel in the heart of old historic Partenkirchen. Serene and quiet, with the most amazing view of the Zugspitze. What however impressed us the most was the staff. Extremely friendly and forthcoming, they assured that our stay was as relaxing as possible and indeed memorable. With a keen eye for detail they attended to our every need. We will surely go back to this establishment, hoping to see the same members of staff again.

GermanyA pretty minor but nevertheless worthwhile (I hope) comment: all the lights in our room and in other areas had harsh cold white LED bulbs - I'd really recommend replacing everywhere with warmer, softer-toned bulbs / lights please. The sauna was never warm enough to use - my wife was rather disappointed

United KingdomLovely design and atmosphere of the hotel matching the look and atmosphere of the beautiful town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Amazing view from the balcony of our room. Easy travels by car to nearby towns and castles. We enjoyed our breakfasts in a bakery across the street and had some lovely meals in restaurants in the town. Very pleased with our stay at Atlas Grand Hotel.

ItalyNo parking. Albeit, the public garage is really cheap for overnight parking. Breakfast was ok…typical European breakfast, nothing special and for 18€, I would have expected a little more. The orange juice was broke and the coffee machine needed servicing as well. Overall, nothing terrible.

United States of AmericaThe toiletries were quite sparse…no liquid soaps just tiny little bar soap. I was there at the end of the season so maybe that was why
Friendly staff and the room was quite large! Truly felt I was in an historic building as the decor and design was fantastic. Sauna was clean and staff very good at getting it prepped for a nice steam. The coffee in the room was quite good.

United States of AmericaTransportation was a challenge. Bus stops were not close to hotel and it’s an hour wait between buses. We ended up walking to and from train station.
