The room heater didn’t work well so the room was cold, not so much, but we slept with warm clothes and it worked great. Staff was helpful and nice, just didn’t understand why when we arrived from walking and stopped at the terrace for a glass of the delicious Glühwein, at 8 pm, the lady said that we could drink but she wouldn’t serve us outside anymore, we needed to take drinks inside, but few minutes later, a couple also stopped by and asked for a beer and the same lady brought it outside for them.

Almost everything! The location couldn’t be better, in the middle of everything. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent, not lots of variety but everything very tasty. Just recommend it!

I had a truly lovely stay at this wonderful hotel. It is located very centrally in the middle of the old town and I had the most delicious breakfast. I had also requested a bathroom with a bathtub, which was provided and I had a lovely soak in a very spacious tub. I would certainly stay at this charming hotel again and can highly recommend it!

Beds are extremely soft. Granted, this is a personal preference and everyone will rate them differently. Shower configuration in our room was not ideal. Hard to keep water off the floor due to extremely small barrier between shower and the rest of the room

Great breakfast. Fresh items in abundance and always refilled when getting low. Staff was super friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the old town.

No elevator, the hotel was built 1980 but its ok witj me having no elevator but I think about the handicap people

No airco ... on a very hot august day. Noisy surrounding even if the noise of the flowing and cascading water helped a bit. The hotel restaurant closed at 21h30 so no dessert or ice cream anymore - no big deal ... Hair drier switched off after a few minutes - overheated - ... no big deal. We were annoyed by the many many bees in the morning so it was a challenge to have breakfast. Very strange: we had lots of spiders on the ceiling ...

Great location. Very centre. Side view on old Rathaus. Nearby underground public parking 18EUR/day, but I paid 14EUR as I did not stay 24h). We dropped lugage at the hotel first. Good wifi and TV. Breakfast included.

They need to buy new towels. Curtains were gingham and dawn was at 4:30 am! Wi fi very poor.

The room was huge and cheery like a Heidi fantasy. Overlooked the river and Rathaus. Absolutely picturesque. Restaurant food was wonderfully fresh and well cooked.

Despite us booking on the basis of 'on site car park' (which to me means a hotel car park) we arrived to find that it was in fact a nearby public car park with a 2m height restriction which was no use for us with a roof box. Therefore, we had to park on the road by the hotel. This is normally residents' permit only but as it was a Sunday we got away with it. Staff were generally good but communication sometimes limited for English-speaking and we were initially somewhat ignored having been seated in the restaurant in the evening.

Excellent location, very comfortable if somewhat dated room (in the separate building across the courtyard) and very good evening meal and breakfast served in the restaurant.

Our room was on the side of the water stream. The noise was very loud even with windows closed. I would suggest the hotel to provide ear plugs in the rooms facing the water. Other wise a great stay.

Breakfast was very difficult and the people working breakfast seemed to be a bit fussy. It was not possible to pick your food as there were plates/ baskets already prepared with meats, cheeses, and breads. We didn’t feel very welcome to this meal.

This is a beautiful hotel in the old town area of Bamburg. It was a great location to explore all the historical sites. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Dinner at the restaurant was a nice experience.

Beds were not so comfy, and the pillows were a bit too hard and high. Shower could be better, as the curtain is not the best option to keep the bathroom dry, expecially if you're travelling with children.

Lovely room. The view was simply lovely and the whole hotel is quite charming. Right in the city centre. Staff is quite nice, even if they entered the room without knocking.
