Inattentive front desk staff-not rude--just not totally into it :-) There is no lift, which for us was ok but should be noted. Room was not totally clean upon arrival--nothing major! Location not ideal if you want to walk back and forth into town.

View was spectacular! Room was clean and lovely. On-site parking.

The accommodation was great! Cute and cozy bedroom with your own bathroom, very comfortable bed and quite quiet hotel. The sraff were very friendly and helpful. And the view from the restaurant is amazing - you have the whole town on the palm of your hand. Highly recommended to stay here.

The noise from the floor and next room was relatively loud in the room.

The 2nd room we booked, the shower head could not be regulated for warm water. The water was really really hot and our son had to take his showers in our unit instead.

Panoramic views of the city from the bedroom. The rooms are clean and comfortable though the toilets/shower a bit small. Good breakfast at a reasonable cost. The hotel is about a walkable 20mins to the old city. The walk back up was tough as the property is located right on top of the hill, and we had a really good workout. However, one could choose to take the bus to and from the old city. Overall it was a good stay.

It was a bit of a walk into town and uphill on the way home. About 10 - 15 minutes

Lovely location with views over Bamburg - warm and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. Parking was perfect. The staff were friendly and obliging.

Note after 8pm you have to call for a taxi in place of the bus 30 minutes before you want to take it from the bus stop (bus rates apply).

Would have given this place a 10, but the shower was a bit cold. In all fairness, we didn't contact the staff because it was late and we were only there for one night.

Very clean and modern. Very comfy beds, roller blinds for privacy, nice sized shower, helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful view! Easy to walk down the hill or take a bus, though bus is 2.20 euro for an hour.

Bathroom had a frosted glass door and a small glass circle window .

Location was great up on the hill. Family room has a nice size. Garden is great.

No air conditioning. No coffee making facility in the room. No hair dryer.

Lovely place and the views were outstanding. We didn't do the walk to town but apparently it's only 15 mins. There is a bus stop right outside with busses going every 15 mins.

Having a single duvet. Would like to have a double next time. Lack of vending machine. Havin a machine for some drinks would be nice. After 19:30 there is no staff anymore and you can not get a drink.

Breakfast buffet was getting low in stock....we were kind of later guest.

Would have appreciated a lift, carrying suitcases up two flights of stairs is rather cumbersome.

Cosy hotel located high above Bamberg with magnicifent view both from the restaurant and the room. Good wifi, free parking outside. About 15 min walk to the center, note however, very steep hill (16%) to negotiate. There is a local bus that seemed to run frequently and stops right outside the hotel. Room was clean, spacious and beds comfortable. Wifi free and good. Friendly staff and quick check-in. No lift in the building. We had dinner at the hotel which was fine (wienerschnitzel), very large portions! Breakfast was also good, plenty of choices. We chose this hotel primarily because we had read that parking is scarce and difficult in town, many one way streets and narrow roads. Would recommend a visit both to Bamberg and this hotel.

Nice location on a hill just outside of the old city center. Clean rooms, very comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and a lovely view of the city. Even when you arrive late in the evening the staff makes sure you get a warm welcome!
