Exceptional location minutes walk from the old and new towns and the Metro (to the airport in 20-30min). Good staff helpful and attentive and friendly. Have travelled for many years over 60 countries but breakfast here has to be one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve had in a ‘budget’ hotel. Exceptional choice and quality including salmon.

It's a great location, you can visit everywhere on foot. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfast was a surprise for us, we did not expect so much variety and taste.

I wish the breakfast would be even better. Not that it was really bad - actually, it was good, including many types of bottled juice and individual packaging / portions of vegetables, nuts, fruits&berries. But coffee was quite tasteless, and also pastry ended very quickly 2 days in a row. Consider asking for a different pillow straight away. Also, please note that there's a night bar the next door to the hotel, so the gallery to the hotel entrance may look not the most welcoming and smells with cigarettes quite strong - not that it's a big deal, just be mentally prepared for that.

Location - the property is located in the city center, and only around 12 minutes away by foot from the main train station. The room was freshly renovated, and even had a contact-less charging system for modern smartphones. Bathroom was not the same fresh, but in the same time there's nothing to complain about - clean and functional, without any major flaws. There was also an old-school trousers press in the room. Staff was very helpful, e.g. they helped to obtain a different pillow, as the original one was very uncomfortable. Overall, we're very satisfied with the stay here and will definitely consider Avenue Hotel again should we be back to Nürnberg.

The staff at this hotel were excellent. Really friendly and very helpful indeed. I was delighted with my stay and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The location for a tourist visiting the city couldn't have been better.

For this style of hotel, nothing.

The hotel is in an excellent central, but surprisingly quiet location. It's a short walk from the metro station and within walking distance of all the main sights. The room was very comfortable and immaculately clean, like the rest of the hotel. Breakfast had a very good selection of items and was much enjoyed. The hotel was great value for money.

The magnetic charger light next to the bed worked all night. It was a little disturbing to sleep. Strange functioning of the light switches.

Location (driving) - had some difficulty finding the door while driving and parking had to be across the road at max €20/day. But we felt this was not too bad, compared to parking to Munich where we visited before Nurnberg.

Location (walking) - excellent! This location was near the main shopping street and we walked to the Imperial Castle and everywhere in Old Town. Such a great and accessible location! Service - Our family of 3 had the suite and the manager was kind to offer us the extra bed. Appreciated the wireless charger in the room. Despite being in an old-looking building, the room feels renovated and new. Breakfast - one of the most sumptuous breakfast spread we have had, comparable to the big hotels.

Great breakfast and location, short walk to Restaurant Trodelstuben (yum) and the Christmas market. The hotel is underwhelming from the street and the room is somewhat spartan, but the bed was comfortable. Desk staff was very helpful and made a few calls for us to reserve a taxi.The breakfast was great with you could desire, including smoked salmon!
