Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandYou need to watch out for a small step near the reception but you soon get used to that. Also get advice about crossing the street. Don't cross at the bend! Otherwise everything was great and we loved our two day stay in Weimar. We even fitted in a dance show at the theatre and a celebration for Goethe in the park where we met a lawyer from East Germany and her husband who was a teacher in West Germany. We had a very interesting conversation about the events of the past 30 years
The hotel is very well located for visiting the town and the lovely park where Goethe's garden house is located. We were lucky it was Goethe's birthday, so venues were open, but beware, Monday is usually closed, including Buchenwald concentration camp, which was inspiring and informative. We received a really thorough tour in German by a man who was amazing in the amount of detail he provided. He didn't gloss over anything. It highlights how we need to value our democracies and keep radical elements out of government no matter what they promise. The breakfast at the Fuerstenhof was delicious, especially the fruit salad, yoghurt, the lovely cheeses and types of Wurst, the German bread, of course, and the damson jam. The coffee is very good too.

United States of AmericaThere was really nothing to complain about.
There were a wide variety of items at the breakfast buffet for every taste. The location was just outside the historic district, but easily in walking distance to all local sights in Weimar. Some attractions such as the cemetery where Goethe is buried, is right next to the hotel. The train station is a bit of a hike, but no problem for anybody with two healthy legs. The room interior was nothing special, but fit for purpose for a 2-3 day stay.

GermanyIt's right by a main road. We stayed during a very hot weekend and had to sleep with closed windows because the noise from the street was too loud. I wish there was air-conditioning!
Very nice hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff! A few metres from city centre.

United KingdomWe were nonplussed to find, when we checked in, that the hotel had no record of our booking! They did, however, allocate a room to us (fortunately they were not full). This may have proved to our benefit as we were given a very quiet room at the top of the building.
The room was quiet, clean and had space. the hotel was very accessible, near the town centre. The location was in a lovely area, with a park across the road, but within easy walking distance of most things.

United States of AmericaThe room was very nice, but it was up several flights of stairs with no elevator available. We came in late, but carrying my suitcase up several sets of stairs was a struggle.
Breakfast was fine; pretty much all cold breads, jams, cheeses, etc. They have a night check in system which allowed us to arrive late. The beds were very soft and the room was very clean.

GermanyTo reach the hotel one needs to cross the street. I stayed only on night, but haven't worked out where the pedestrian crossing is. Not safe especially with a luggage. My room was on the second floor and both when I arrived and when I was leaving the cleaning service organized in the corridor a small armagedon with the dirty sheets on the chairs, rubbish bag hanging from the handle of a cupboard... Really surprising especially right after you saw the nice reception and climbed reallz nice stairs.
The room is relatively spacious. The bed is wide and comfortable. Breakfast service was very friendly and fast. The location is comfortable to be reached by car.
