Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We were visiting friends who lived near this hotel so it was convenient for us, although it wouldn't be so convenient for general tourism as it is a 40 minute walk to the old town.

NetherlandsRoom: The room was a little small but it had all we needed so that was not an issue. The bathroom seemed to have some staining in the places where mold would typically form and it was not 100% clean, but for the price you pay that is to be expected and it did not bother us. The tv is not smart (or it is but rather limited) and has no HDMI cable port so we could not watch a movie on it which was a bummer. There was an uncomfortable spring in one of the beds but we swapped beds which fixed that issue. Kitchenette: There was a kitchenette in our room but there were barely any pans, plates, cups and cutlery. That was the only very bare-bones thing, but we did not use nor pay for the kitchenette so it could be that you do get more of that if you book the kitchenette. We are not sure. Food: There is no breakfast in the hotel but there is a Lidl right next to it.
Room: Perfectly fine room for short stays. We stayed here twice for separate nights to split up our train journeys from holidays to home. Food: There is no breakfast in the hotel but there is a Lidl right next to it. We got breakfast and snacks from there which was very convenient. There are some restaurants decently nearby (walking distance). Staff: The staff was friendly. Because we enjoyed our stay on our way to our holidays we decided to book a night again for our way back. We asked for a room on the east side because our first room was on that side and we had not been disturbed by the train traffic like what other reviews mention. Upon arrival it turned out we got the same room as the first stay, which was a nice cheeky surprise that made us feel extra welcome. In our request we had mentioned we stayed with the hotel before and they seem to have gone out of their way to give us the same room. Location: It is a 10 minute walk to Frankfurt (Main) Süd train station and from there not long to the Hauptbahnhof by train. The price is very decent compared to other options in the city, this hotel is not in a suspicious neighborhood. The old city center of Frankfurt (Altstadt) can be reached via the nice Eiserner Steg (iron bridge), this is a 25 minute walk but nice to look around if you have some time to spare.

United States of AmericaAirport bus 61 takes you close to hotel. 6 usd. Pay onboard at airport possible. Buy ticket at bus stop elsewhere. Easy fast ticket machines that only uses credit cards. Very helpful and friendly staff. My single room had a kettle and fridge. It was quiet at night. Nice neighborhood. I felt safe walking to restaurants 8 minutes away at night.

United States of AmericaWiFi doesn't reach all rooms. Train noise might be an issue for some people. Definitely older facilities but still nice. If windows are closed for long smell from smoking damage is obvious.
Easy check-in and proactive communication. There is a kitchenette. Everything worked but the WiFi was very slow in my room.

United States of AmericaBooking the hotel thru the internet only holds the reservation and you have to pay at the hotel. Not a big deal and I am sure it is written somewhere, but there are even surcharges like Frankfurt city tax as well as international exchange fees if you don’t have the right credit card.
Location was close to train station south and perfect for bus to airport terminal 2, just around the corner. There is an express bus too but not at this stop. However I liked it much better than at the main station. Easy walk to Sachsenhausen with plenty of cafes restaurants and bars as well as to the river or inner city. It has a private balcony allowing to sleep with window and door open.

IrelandWe stayed here for one night in-between flights and train transfer to next destination while in Europe. Perfect place to lay your head, old but very clean and safe location. 10min walk to the train station, €29 uber from the airport. There's some lovely little local restaurants nearby for a bite to eat. Though we didn't check in with a human as we arrived late the communication from hotel staff was excellent about how to get inside. Easy check out using a drop box for the key. Good value for money you get what you pay for.
