Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandThe breakfast was 15.90 euros and it wasn't worth of money. There was nothing special, just some bread, coffee, juices and something little.
The location was great. Room was okay and there was good lightning.

United KingdomThe room was pretty small and of course the noise level from outside is high, but one is in a capital city! Herr Thibault had hoped to put us further up but there was a problem with the lift which was a bit temperamental so he put us on the 2nd floor. It's a pity there's nowhere to park near the hotel but again, it's near the centre of a big city.
Excellent reception, very friendly and helpful. Herr Thibault made us supper and we had entertaining conversation with him. It makes a difference! Facilities were fine and perfectly adequate. The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful but particularly Herr Thibault who looked out for our welfare. The meal deal was not only a good buy but it was really nice to be comfortable and quiet in the hotel.

GermanyThere were parking problems, even if the hotel says they have a parking lot, that's not entirely true, as my car (normal car) wouldn't fit inside. Should be better specified

NetherlandsThe level of noise in the room and the lighting in the bathroom.
The breakfast offered was quite enjoyable. However, the room experienced some noise levels. The location was satisfactory, benefiting from its proximity to the subway.

GermanyWhat I really didn’t like about the room was the very tiny toilet. My back got hurt twice because of its size..
Clean property with nice staff. Having 24/7 service is a game changer, especially when the arrival time is unknown.

GermanyGood connection to WLAN, but Internet connection fluctuating - didn't matter, which wlan I chose. Sometimes worked, then off for several seconds to minutes and then back. Told the reception, but he checked at that point that the Internet connection worked and didn't do anything to it. Noice isolation almost non-existent. All noices from the corridoor and neighbouring rooms can be heard like there was no doors in between. Almost the same for the windows to the street. :(
Clean room, good location. Two sockets on both sides of the bed for charging phones, etc. Refill bottles of soap and shower liquid instead single use soaps.

AustriaThe hotel is going through a major renovation, thus you will see Baustelle all over the facilities, which is not very comfortable. Still, I liked the fact that they kept the hotel operating and we got a room which was already finished. But hopefully the elevator will be upgraded soon as well, it needs it.
The hotel is located quite centrally near Feuersee, just about 5 min to the S-Bahn and 10 min to Rotebühlplatz in the city. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We booked a room with balcony but none was available. However, the hotel reimbursed the overpaid difference without hesitation. The price we paid was in general very good, given the ungoing construction at the hotel. I believe once done, it will be a lovely city hotel to visit.

AustraliaShower took forever to get hot water and the pressure was poor. They were going through refurbs and my key got swapped on my first night, only finding out once I tried the key I was given originally. Shouldn't be a problem normally as they were changing to a card system.
Room was clean and tidy. Easy enough to get to with baggage and good location.

IrelandAs mentioned - it's a little bit of a construction site so be prepared for dusty and slightly dirty floors in the corridors, and a few unfinished bits in the rooms. The thing I didn't like was the towel rail but the toilet - it's a really, really bad decision.(see the photo) There was plenty of room next the shower wall to have a hook or a rail for the towels.
Be aware that the hotel is going through some refurbishment so it's a little bit of a construction site. Look - it's more of a students dormitory than a hotel. Howerver the reception staff was very good and sorted my problem when I mentioned it to them. And also I liked the decor, simple and efficient. I liked the area around the hotel. It's only 2 stops from the train station, it's in a quiet residential area, and there are some nice places to eat around the hotel. Also, it's only 5-6 min on foot form the city centre. So - lots of positives
