Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We could smell cigarette smoke on the stairs.
The staff were welcoming and friendly and spoke some English. The hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking. It was very convenient for our journey, not far from the motorway. Our room was comfortable and spacious enough for 3 adults. We enjoyed our evening meal and the breakfast was an extensive buffet.

I arrived after official check in hours, and upon my arrival I noticed that the heating in the room was off. I turned it on, but after all I couldn’t sleep, because it was way too cold and it took a few hours for the temperature to raise. I want to believe it was an accident, and in other cases rooms are warm.
The hotel is easily accessible by car. Check in is possible until 22:00, but the hotel staff arranged the key pickup later as I arrived around midnight. Everything went smoothly.

That they didn't told us while checking in. Or when we passed the reception that there was an issue with the hot water that night
Everything was great except the first night. Because there was an issue with the hot water supply, which wasn't hot but almost cold.. So if they just told us upfront it would be less annoying that we didn't have warm water.

The bed was hard as a rock! It could do with a top mattress 😊
The staff was very accommodating and it was absolutely no problem for us to have our dog with us.

It was a bit loud. It seems that the hotel is also an event venue. We were not able to fall asleep until midnight due to people drinking and talking outside. Even though this hotel is dog friendly and my dog is flea treated regularly, a flee jumped on me just as we were checking out in a lobby. :/
The staff was absolutely amazing and friendly. Location is great when you travel from one side of Europe to another. We even managed to come on time to have dinner and it was delicious. It was great it was dog friendly too!

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room to make a cup of tea or coffee
Bed room clean and very comfortable. Location quiet. We had a great walk from the hotel to see the Ulm University Botanic Gardens which were excellent.

Booked at the last minute, for a cange of plan and the Hotel was very nice. Big room, very clean, good sleep. The sourroundings are nice. Te restaurant and breakfast was good. Big parking lot in the back.

As it was our first time at this hotel, we did have a little difficulty finding it as the trees and bushes etc were somewhat overgrown. A little pruning and sweeping of the outside area would help improve things considerably.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant and overall we very much enjoyed our stay. The room we had was very clean and of a good size and we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Really nothing. The hotel is located 5 km outside the city of Ulm but it's just a 5 minute ride by car.
The staff was very helpful and willing to accomodate our needs. Rooms were correct, spacious, silent. There is an elevator. Breakfast was simple but tasty and the restaurant of the hotel is a great plus. Fair prices and big choice of dishes.
