Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsLocation of the hotel was great, you easily walk to the old city center. In the street there are bikes that you can pick up and leave anywhere in the city you like. So great location, quiet hotel, good and clean room.

IsraelBathroom consisted of 2 rooms - shower and toilet, and a single door to cover only one room at a time. So when your partner is in the shower you cannot use the other room apparently. The shower also has a window to the room that can be only partially covered. And sink is in the room directly

United States of AmericaThe location is far from the shopping district and the beautiful Munich city center.
It’s perfect for a traveling group since separate rooms are very close, it’s also a small distance from a couple of great takeout and lunch options.

GreeceLift was a bit slow, and even with the shutters closed, there is still some light coming in. I also found the breakfast overpriced.
Amazing location next to the metro station Goetheplatz. Supermarkets and other stores are also very close by. Comfortable, small room witht a lovely balcony looking the inner courtyard. Clean toilet with an adjacent shower.

PortugalIt’s my 2nd stay at Gio and I can’t stand the toillete’s fan noise during the night, which randomly turns on (and stays on) despite following the staff’s indication to close the toillete’s door. It happened on my first stay/room and now again on a different room. Ultimately I had to disconnect electricity in the entire room by unplugging the card, which means you can’t charge your devices overnight. Staff was kind enough to offer me a free breakfast, but the problem remained and management should really address this auto fan issue across all rooms.
Great location close to the ubahn and walkable to Munich’s downtown and Marientatz. The hotel is very comfortable and “easy going”, with nice rooms and uncomplicated front desk.

TurkeyFor some rooms, you need to take a couple of stairs after the elevator. It is not very easy for people with accessibility issues.
We really liked everything about the hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was spacious. It is great that the rooms have little balconies. The shower was also very good. The hotel is 5 min walk from Goethestrasse U-bahn.

PhilippinesNot a dealbreaker, but initially uncomfortable to have a shared door for the toilet and shower cubicles , making it hard to use both at the same time for 3 people sharing a room - stayed 2 nights so we just worked around it. WiFi was not great so just ended up using my own.
The staff were very welcoming, the room was comfortable and there was ample space for 3 people sharing a room. While there is no restaurant on the hotel grounds, there are a lot of good and decently-priced food options around.

United KingdomThe hotel is located in an excellent area in Munich with many nice restaurants, bars or caffees and with perfect access to the U6. The personal was very friendly and helped quickly with anything we needed. The room was spacious and clean and in the direction of the quiet backyard with a small balcony. Overall great stay!

ItalyThe shower didn’t work well (the head, where the jet comes out, should probably be replaced), although hot water always comes out of the shower but with little jet. There weren’t frigo-bar (but we know form facilities about room) but we think there could be add, specially for summer period One of the bed seemed broken. It squeaked with every movement.
Hotel very close to the centre, with the possibility of parking in the private garage (17 euro per day) or in the car parks outside (11 euro per day, payable via coins at the parking meter, or via App for Munich parking). Spacious and bright rooms with all facilities (expect frigo-bar). Large shower cubicle. Heating can be increased manually. Really good value for money, considering being close to the centre. Breakfast possibility for 16 euros per day but there are a lot bakery close by the hotel.

SpainWeird design of toilet and shower - with one door to save space (which make sense) , but you can’t control the ventilation in the toilet, so it can be pretty noisy for some time , which is annoying especially if you go to the toilet in the night or before going to sleep. I was staying in the attic room so the ceiling was quite annoying to bump with my head in

PortugalThere’s nothing to eat or bite afterhours (not in the hotel nor the surrounding area). Not even a machine for quick sandwiches or chocolates: zero! The glass window bathroom has a lighting spot driven by a motion sensor… that even with doors fully closed wouldn’t go off for more than 5 minutes. Same for the extraction system, noisy and (erraneously) malfunctioning. That didn’t provide a peaceful and proper rest, which was a shame.
Nice concept hotel, cool design. Location is awesome, walkable to city centre but not on the over-busy area. Spot on! Breakfast is amazing, very tasty and served on a cosy area. Loved it.
