The location was great, especially with the Christmas market just across the bridge. The dogs had a brilliant time with a lot of other local dogs and all the owners were very relaxed about them all playing. The reception staff were lovely, especially when our 8 year old Golden Retriever had problems navigating the shiny floor in reception. She worried about slipping so we all employed various tactics to try and encourage her across, ending with using two different dog mats as tiles to create safe islands for her. We couldn't eat dinner in the restaurant as they were booked with Christmas parties but that was fine as we found somewhere nearby. Reception was very helpful with parking because with our roof box we were too high for the underground car park, and with advice about walking the dogs due to the river having flooded. The room was lovely. Breakfast was good. We will definitely return for a stay dedicated stay (without the dogs).

17 euros per night for the parking a little too much…breakfast way toooo expensive at 18 euro per person. Did not have a mini fridge in the room Did not have a bathrobe or slippers nor many bathroom products

Minor detail - as an older guest, I find soap/shampoo dispensers that have to be squeezed are difficult.

The location of Hotel Sorat on the Isle is perfect. And such a close walk across the old bridge to the heart of the Altstadt. The room was large and light-filled, the view across the river ever-so-pleasing. We found the room and furnishings to be very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was very good. Parking was easy and convenient. We recommend this hotel for a unique experience in lovely Regensburg.

Getting into and out of the parking garage is a pain. One way in and out, have to use a token from the front desk, if you're not out fast enough you have to go get another one.

Location is perfect on the edge of the old town. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Parking garage below the hotel.

Rooms felt a bit dated. We happened to be there during a sort-of Oktoberfest, so the price felt a bit high.

Fantastic location on an island in the Danube itself, immediately adjacent to a bridge that connects to the old town. Large hotel with on-site parking and other amenities that we didn't have the time to utilize but the bar looked nice.

The old carpet floors, cabinets and overall the amenities in the room (soap, pillows, linens, etc) are decent but not worthy of a 4 stars hotel.

The position is by far the strongest selling point for the hotel: it is on the river and at 5 minutes walking distance from the center, however it is on a separate small island, making it super easy to reach it by car without headaches. The front desk staff was helpful and welcoming.

There was a sorry excuse for music in the local park - went on for 6 hours or more pumping out 130 beats per minute of interminable base - would have broken legally safe sound levels in the arena, and it totally spolied the stay on a hot day when it was impossible to have windows open because of the mind-numbing rhythm.

Room size was very good and the location of the hotel is superb. Breakfast was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Internet Wi-Fi was sporadic and very weak. I was in a room on the first floor not far from reception. The staff attempted to assist in establishing a link but the signal was too weak to maintain a connection. A bit of a shame as I needed to stay in contact with my office.
