Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Disappointed that no tea/coffee facilities in room; no iron/ironing board in room. Not enough hangars and too few pillows. But these are minor quibbles given the excellent location.
Intercity Hotel Berlin Hbf is great for location, cleanliness, breakfast choices and above all the staff who were super friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

The evening bar was quite busy and understaffed for offering cocktails. The bar is inefficiently designed so the team working had to keep crossing over each other meaning it took three times as long to make a cocktail than it should do if there bar layout were designed for making cocktails.
The staff were really friendly when checking in and out. The breakfast buffet had loads to chose from and it was a nice touch that all the different bread rolls were warm. Great selection of teas. Room was very comfortable and quiet

Only one pillow and bed / mattress was very soft.
Fantastic location beside a great railway station with links to all parts of the city and further afield. Comfortable and quiet room.

Not anything I didn't like but some things were strange. My first room had a kettle and coffee. My second room had nothing. When I said my room could be cleaned, I found the bed made and the sink scrubbed but the bin was full. That was pretty much all I needed to be done: empty the bin. So, more weird than anything I didn't like.
The hotel was easy to find when I arrived by train very late at night. It's modern, clean, comfortable and close to everything. I'd originally booked an Airbnb room closer to my cousin but my host seemed a bit too stressed to have a guest. The staff were all lovely.

Pillows were very soft, shower door didn’t keep much water in causing the bathroom to get very wet and not being able to reuse towels
Location, so close to the train station and close enough walk into the centre of town. Very clean, staff were great.

The business plus double room didn't feel super luxurious and the air conditioning didn't work because of the time of year which I thought was strange, the windows opened but not enough to create any air circulation. I mentioned it on check out and the staff said it was a general issue in Berlin.
The location was great, 5 min walk to the main train/metro/bus/tram station. The room was clean and tidy, we were able to pay a small amount for early check in.

Even better if there was a mirror near/on dressing table. The food in the restaurant was very good and staff very friendly - would be great if you could add room service.

Unsure about pillows , seemed very flat. No other options available. No coffee machine or kettle in room.
Hotel was so conveniently located to the station Berlin Hbf and lots of food sources around . It was roomy, well set up, staff friendly and helpful, and good facilities. Absolute bonus was the transport card given which allowed us to travel on tram, train or train for free during our stay.
