We had a beautiful corner room, with beautiful mountain views on two sides. Beds were very comfortable, a big bathroom with lots of space to put toiletries. The size of the room was very good. We spent 3 nights here.

We very much enjoyed the room & the breakfast (a very hearty breakfast). The spa including the pool, the sauna, and the massage were appreciated after a long 2 weeks of travel, hiking, and playing tourist. The proximity to the Ettal monastery and basilica (both located across the street) were the primary reason for staying at the Hotel Klosterhotel Ludwig der Bayer, so an outstanding hotel made the visit much more enjoyable.

Making reservations at the front desk for dinner in the associated restaurant really didn't work. It was only thanks to the waitresses that I got a table.

No minibar in the room which is standard providing for 4 star hotel. Associated restaurant staffs (evening) not so friendly to us with cold face, perhaps we are from Asia and cannot speak German language, although dinner quality is OK but whole feeling is not good.

Hotel situated at small town Ettal, just besides Ettal Abbey. You may pay the visit to the Abbey as lot as your like. Design like a castle, but inside more like a family with many lovely furnishings. Swimming pool very good, garden lovely. Staffs very nice and easy to communicate, supportive to guest. Breakfast also very nice and rich.

The breakfast is all about cold food also cold milk but boiled water is provided for tea, and the staff asked us twice about our room number. Which we would never go inside if without paying.

I loved everything.

The restaurant was very good. We enjoyed two great meals. A light dinner and a wonderful complete Breakfast. I would definelty stay here again. Our room was lovely and quiet.

Bed, bedding and pillows are not comfortable at all. No air conditioning or airflow control in room. Had to leave windows open on a cold damp night to cool the room. Would recommend something like a Dyson air machine for future guests for temperature and airflow.

Beautiful setting, stunning architecture, amazing staff and very nice breakfast. Evening dinner was exceptional.

It was all very good.

Spa facilities and staff all excellent. A beautiful town and we were lucky enough to see a classical concert just across the road. A lovely restaurant with great food and value for money. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. One particular tall dark haired girl who was working at breakfast was excellent. She was attentive to everyone.

I was there during July period, and it was hot and my room should have either have an air conditioning system or at least a ventilation system (fan). My room was on the very top floor. The TV was kind of small and sometimes had a bad reception for TV stations.

Very clean room. The breakfast was very delicious with a big selection. I had a single room, very cozy and comfortable bed. Free WiFi was good and free car parking included. The Spa was nice.

The young women at the reception is so kind and sweet. The breakfast is super. The room is clean, the view is pretty. I would definitely love to stay again :)

Super location overlooking the Abbey and beautiful building. Ladies on Reception were ever so friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were plentiful with lots of choice and wonderfully fresh food.
