Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThey were in the process of installing new air conditioning units, so not all rooms had air conditioning. The workers were at work installing the units during the day—it all looked very professional. It obviously can't all be done at once, I understand that. Once they've completed the installation of the new air conditioning units, things should be even better. One drawback: there were no coffee machines in the rooms. I found that to be justified by the low room price, because having coffee machines and coffee in all the rooms would probably cost them upwards of EUR 10,000 per year. However, it's something I missed. Also, in one of the two rooms I had, the electricity went out when you turned the lights off/took your key key-card out of the indoor socket. That means that you're unable to charge any electronic devices when you're not there, unless you have two keys.
I really liked the location: slightly outside of town, literally on top of the underground station. It was also close to convenience stores/fast food places. The breakfast was of really good quality: real scrambles eggs (not the fake powder eggs), good assortment of foods. The bed was extremely comfortable, slightly on the hard side (how I like it). The desk chair was also comfortable, making for a pleasant working environment. The bathroom was fresh and modern. The entire premises were kept impeccably clean, with people sweeping and dusting everywhere during the day. I've never experienced so little dust in a hotel! It's very clear that this is a family-owned business. The attention to detail and the attention that the personnel pay to their guests is almost unmatched, in my experience. Where able, they genuinely tried to accomodate my requests to the best of their abilities.

This is a lovely hotel in a quiet neighborhood. The location is excellent, a mere 15 minutes by subway to the city center with the station just outside the door. The room is spacious and well appointed including a minibar at no extra cost. The bathroom is well stocked but do take care with the bathtub as it is slippery. A shower stall would be much better. A coffee machine and or kettle would be nice for an early morning or evening tea or coffee. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.

AustraliaIt would be a good idea to have a an electric kettle in each room so that guests could make a coffee or tea easily & conveniently. Also it would be a big plus if the restaurant was open for dinner at night as the area has a limited offering of dining venues.
The breakfast was excellent, great variety, fresh, plentiful. Both German special breakfast foods & English & French style too. Staff friendly & very helpful.

CanadaThe water pressure in our shower was very low. Our room was in the section of the hotel that was not yet renovated. The room was from the 90s.
Nicely located next to the train station. Very nice breakfast selection. Partially renovated and still upgrades going on (patio tables). Very friendly staff.

United KingdomRooms were tiny and very cramped.
I liked the location just opposite the UBahn, it was so easy to get into town and back. It was also easy to arrive by car as it’a in quieter neighbour right at the end of the A96 motorway, great to be able to park in the hotel’s garage at a reasonable €15 a night. Hotel hallway and the rooms were modern and clean.

Czech RepublicThere is actually nothing serious to complain about. Perhaps that the first reasonable supermarket to buy food is at 800 m from the hotel (one U-Bahn station).
I liked good materials used in the hotel (stone, veneer, wood); the windows isolate well sounds from the outside; The room was clean, quiet. Points for a small working table to put your laptop on, a thing rarely seen in fancy modern hotels! I also like the old-fashioned way to pay your stay (no pre-payment) at checkout. The location of the hotel is reasonable quiet, right at the entrance to U5 Friedenheimer Str. (5 stations from Hauptbahnhof).
