The bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together and one was higher than the other so was a little uncomfortatble but it was not a major problem

We tried to contact the hotel via chatting room on booking, but got the response a little bit late. Their payment machine was not work when we visited so we can only pay by cash.

The train noise when windows are open. Trains don’t run all night but they go late and start early.

The property is close to Berchtesgaden, Konigsee, and public transportation. The property is also family owned, and I prefer to support small business. The beds were comfortable, the dining area laid out nicely, and the homey, laid back vibe. This is a good location for family gatherings.

FYI if you don't speak German it might be hard to navigate Berchtesgaden in general. The hotel only accepts cash, so carry enough or you need to walk back out to the train station which is the closest ATM. They were a little concerned about the baby, but I travel with a baby cot, so no problems. The walk from the train is a little difficult - there is a paved path but the wrong side of the road without a good crossing/marked foot crossing which is a little dangerous. To walk on the non paved side is either right by the road or in the bushes by the train, but it's not far so not a big deal to just dash across the narrow road and take the paved path.

Breakfast was great, lots of nice whole food options, especially for a budget hotel. They even set kids plates for a boy and a girl for each of my kids which made their day. Very nice staff, and centrally located about 5 minutes walk from the busbahnhof/train station. Very nice stay, quiet, comfy bed, quiet, and a great price for the area especially. REWE is close for dinner and snacks for hiking.

Lack of wi-fi in the room.

Nice location, close to all major places in Berchtesgaden and surroundings if you have a car. There is a small parking space right next to the accommodation. If it is occupied, you can park 20 meters away. The building is right next to the train track, which can be a little loud during the day, but in the night we didn’t have any issues. The room was clean. Hosts were very friendly, the lady was speaking English in case if you don’t speak German. Overall a nice stay in reasonable price. We would stay there again.

Quiet noisy, being next to the Main road and the Train tracks. But as we were out most days it didnt bother us too much. It was quieter at night time. Bed comfortable, no cleaning was done in the room during our 5 nights stay, only a towel change once and the wash basin is very tiny with a shelf above so you had to watch your head when leaning down to brush your teeth. So a pretty basic room, but as said above, the price is fair for where the Hotel is.

What you pay is what you get. Reasonable pricing for the area of the location. Good, plentiful continental breakfast, but could change the breakfast buns, very dry and hard boiled cold eggs were not ideal either.

Large family room, like and apartment (but no kitchen) on top floor, balcony and nice view of river. Easy to find and 10min walk from station and bus to Konigsee. It is on the outskirts of town though, so a bit of a walk to the old town centre (20min-25 if you walk slow). Very nice tenant lady. There was a little play area for children in the garden but it was raining. You have to cross train tracks to get there, so mind your children! The trains run bihourly so the noise didn't bother us. Good value for money for a family of 5!

The duvets and pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Very dated decor. Guest house beside train track - but OK after 10 pm and before 7 am. About 800 m outside town on a main road. There is a pavement to the guest house, so not too bad.

Room was clean. Breakfast was very good. Host was friendly and very flexible. About 800m from the bus & train stations. Speaks good English, so no communication problems. We could leave our bags there after check out and pick them up later in the day.

There's no free WiFi at this hotel except in the public area. Our room is at the top floor and the bed has one side that is low ceiling and this is not desired. Another thing that I do not like is that there's no public restroom in the lobby or breakfast area. Our room is at the top floor so when we need to go to the restroom after breakfast, we'll have to go all the way up to our room.

The hotel is walking distance to the bus station, about 8 to 10 minutes.

Part of the highway immediately at the front of the property was under construction which made it an unusual experience. We had to walk on the rolled gravel base and the cooled bitumen so we managed without any incident! Of course, it was no fault of the guesthouse.

The breakfast was excellent as was the location. The bus and train stations were a few minutes away. Our hosts were very friendly and supportive.
