It was not easy to climb to the fourth floor with suitcases. The top floor room had an upleasant mouldy smell.

The staff were helpful. The parking arrangement is good. The location is great to reach the attractions.

Hit a bit of a language barrier with the receptionist which meant we almost couldn't find our room which was situated in a different building around the corner (the blue one opposite the car park for future travellers!) I'm still not convinced we stayed in the right car park but our hire car survived the night in what looked more like a construction site than a hotel car park!

It is not exactly “am Schloss”, just near a street where you can see the Schloss (castle) from a distance. Breakfast was not a good value. There are better budget alternatives in Schwerin.

check in after-hours was in a smoking bar/cafe in small alley and very unpleasant although staff were very friendly and accommodating.

It's Entry Door had to be pulled harder than usual to close, there is a smokers bar next door which is not everybody's favourite sight to come home to. The view of the cheaper rooms are not exactly "Schloss". But nobody looks into the windows, either as you have a white wall approx. 5 meters away.

Pension am Schloss, was perfectly located in the center of town. The hotel is simple but very good and quiet. We had a great experience. Bars, Shops and Sight-Seeing all around the corner. Very recommendable on a Budget.

Good location, right in the centre, friendly staff. Perfect with private parking next door. Biggest minus are the many stairs we had to climb to get to the room. This makes the location not optimal for those who have limited mobility. On the upside, the rooms are newly done - we could even smell the "newness". Comfy, well furbished and everything there one needs. We stayed on Friday night and had a room facing the Goethestrasse which is a busy road, so the noise was as is to be expected on a Friday night in any city. Not too bad, however.

The hotel consisted of several adjacent buildings all leading out to a common passage running from the street to the hotel's bar. Had the weather been poor, this could have been inconvenient.

The hotel was located centrally, within walking distance of Schwerin Mitte railway station. There was a tram/bus stop very close to the hotel with services to the city centre and the main station. The buffet breakfast was lovely. The hotel's evening bar was very pleasant.

Breakfast was not good for the money. You pay additional 12 Euro/person for breakfast. The food and coffee was all cold , even though you are on time for breakfast. They didn't even fill up the counter which was empty. And they charge extra for the parking also.

The Hotel stay was comfy and clean. Location was good, Supermarket and Restaurant are round the corner.

Check out time - it could be 12 as in many other places instead of 11. Stuff does not speak English very pricey for what you get.

Only tea in the room, no coffee

The room was welcoming and above my expectations. 10min from main station, 5 min from a mal, 15min from the castle. We took the room at last floor as our laggage was light but as there is no lift, maybe if you have a big bag take a room on the lower floors. Stairs are a lot. The parking lot is on yhe side of the hotel, we did not use but we will do next time we come by car. We did not took breakfast but we saw it at check out. It looks like a good German breakfast, people were enjoying. We were not able to check in when we arrived around 11 but we used the guest toilette and we left the laggage there. For sure value for money
