Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Although a lot of effort went into it in terms of design, it lacks a bit the feeling of coziness.
Beautiful building from the outside, funky inside, a bit futuristic, you can tell a lot of effort went into designing it and following the concept!

I did not like the bathroom light design. When one person turns the bathroom light on, the whole bedroom is illuminated, which is not great for other people sleeping.
There was a software issue that prevented us from checking in, as all the rooms appeared as occupied. The staff was super patient and kind, even though there were a lot of people eager to have answers. Kudos to the people at the reception. The room was fine. The breakfast was good too.

No complaints
Great value for money for the comfort and service of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we had a request. Bathroom was also just the right size, and kept very clean. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the central station of Hamburg and, despite being close to main roads and railways, our stay was quiet and restful.

we were in room 310, at the end of the corridor, and wify was bad, often not working. Maybe not so close to the metro, but acceptable distance.
Great value for money. They gave us free coffees in the loby although one is 3 euros, really nice from them. :) All was satisfying, for me it was important that anti allergic room was really antiallergic. And I really did not have any health problems. Will probably come again.

Rooms are a little small but perfect if only spending a few days here. Breakfast was very expensive for what was offered. My advice don’t pay for breakfast and visit one of the highly rated coffee shops within a few minutes walk

No coffee/ tea in room. Receptionist was not really friendly.
The building was nice but the room was basic. Was able to check- in early but wasn’t able to speak to anyone about the area or the facility.

Location wasn’t the easiest from city centre , the bar area was odd …. Wasn’t a comfortable space for enjoying an evening beer and with no bars close by I ended up going next door to Innside Hotel which was far nicer to sit in for a beer

Booking.com did not offer an option which includes Breakfast, so we have to pay separate (which is more than the package which includes breakfast. Parking also quite expensive and you have to pay at machine. The Hotel was much more reasonably prices before the takeover. Currently the Hotel is almost unreachable due to the construction area.
Rooms are trendy, Breakfast is outstanding!

No electrical plug close to the tv. I had to buy a cord extension to connect my Chromecast Bad internet connection, specially for stramming. Impossible to connect my PC. Not so good check-in process, I had a problem the third day with my card (unactivated), had to wait in queue som 10 minutes after a long day. No dinner/restaurant, few options around. Have to take the bus or walk for 20 minutes to get into the restaurant area. Location is more or less . Good buss Connection with #3 but it takes 15 minutes to walk tot he closest subway station. The neighborhood does not have much to do No cleaning my room in four nights No cups in the bathroom

Only issue was that it was about 15 minutes on foot to the hauptbahnhof and It was far from attractions in St. Pauli district.
The hotel is super comfortable and clean with standard size rooms/bathrooms and all necessary items.
