Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Sweden- probably it is because of the design of the lobby - too small and located in a shallow corner, which makes the reception is always full of people in queue. You can’t get a peaceful mind when you enter the lobby. - many people smoke in front of the hotel building.
- the hotel is located next to a botanical garden, quiet and peaceful, and convenient to go to the train station. - the breakfast has got many choices - the room is comfortable and clean - value for money hotel parking

Very central location that you can reach almost every place in the city center. Clean and freshly renovated rooms. Perfect, really perfect breakfast. Provides discount for car parking, but could be a complimentary for guests.

GermanyMight not apply to all rooms but when you open the window you get this loud noise of wind passing through the bottom of the room door. There is mould in the corners of the shower, which might be due to bad construction and lack of airflow (despite small ventilation). Parking lot dedicated to Radisson Blu is a somewhat a unpleasant experience: while I dont mind the tight parking spaces, the narrow driving ramps are a nightmare when driving big/long/wide cars. The space on both wheel sides to the curb (BMW X5 G05) was barely 4-fingers wide.
Great location, wellness, spa, fitness equipment. Bed are comfy enough. Amenity store is a great addition, for toothpaste or some snacks, food or beverages.

IsraelThe room doors slam making a big noise, so you hear your neighbors entering and leaving their room also at night. I asked for a room on a high floor and was answered by the receptionist that I did not pay enough for a high floor... They gave me complementary water bottles on the first night but not on the second night.
Clean, very spacious, centrally located hotel. Within walking distance from the Inter City Express train station (Dammtor) - a real bonus.

United KingdomThere really wasn’t much that we didn’t like. The only major disappointment was that on returning to our room one day we found that the door had been left ajar by housekeeping. Whilst everything seemed to be in order and nothing missing, the response we received when highlighting it to reception was less than reassuring. The receptionist seemed not really to grasp the implications of leaving a guest room unlocked, and there was no real apology forthcoming. This was an isolated incident however and we suspect the message got through as on returning to our room the following day it seemed to have received “special treatment“ from housekeeping, being as clean, tidy and well ordered as the day we had arrived. It would also have been nice if the 26th floor bar had been open earlier in the day (I recall it only opened at 6pm). Greedy for views of the city we would have liked to have enjoyed a beer or maybe breakfast, up there, Looking in a different direction to our room (maybe towards the harbour rather than the Alster). but it’s hardly a complaint, and I would imagine that it is very well patronised on summer evenings.
It was the view which one it. Yes, the Radison Blu was a perfectly comfortable, well located, and fairly priced hotel, but it was its height, and the potential to have a room overlooking the centre of Hamburg which swung my decision to stay there rather than anywhere else, and which ultimately was the thing we enjoyed most about our stay. I originally booked a “superior panoramic“ room after struggling to identify which rooms pointed the way I wanted. I subsequently checked with the hotel and upgraded to an Alster view, and on arrival we were allocated room 2505 on the 25th floor, about as high as you can go without staying in the bar! The view was everything I wanted, stretching from the Ausser Alster to the Binner Alster and the spires and towers beyond, and giving a bird’s-eye view of Damtor station and trains winding their way towards Hauptbahnhof. The only thing that could have improved it is if the grey clouds had lifted just once during our four day stay. The next most important factor for us was the hotels location. It is literally right next to Damtor station - in a rush on leaving day we made it from reception to platform in under 90 seconds. It is also less than five minutes from the U-Bahn at Stephansplatz and fifteen from Jungfernstieg - making it as convenient for evenings in the Christmas markets as for trips within and outside the city. Finally, I must put in a word for the spa facilities. We had a very pleasant hour or so in the sauna and steam room one evening. It’s a shame they don’t open earlier in the day, or we would’ve been in there every morning as well, but they were good quality facilities, and the lady looking after them, the only one on duty that evening I understand, could not have been more welcoming and friendly. So, overall, there is a lot to like about this hotel, and I would definitely consider staying there again.

GermanyI had dinner at Filini Restaurant. The food was great but one of the waiters was really impolite. Even though it was clear I was only speaking basic German, he insisted speaking German to me. The maitre was good though and prices were more than reasonable for the quality.
Breakfast was great. Room was great. Staff was really friendly and spoke perfect English. Quite helpful as well. Given that there was a conference nearby, they were helpful to all the guests, safeguarding luggage, answering any questions etc.

GermanyApart from the price, which was a bit too high for the standards of the hotel, my main issue was the bathroom, which was separated from the rest of the room with a transparent glass wall. I was on a business trip sharing a twin room with a colleague and it was quite awkward when one of us wanted to take a shower or use the bathroom while the other was in the room.
A nice hotel perfectly located next to the congress center. It even has a direct connection to it. Lagre and comfortable rooms and a nice view. Breakfast was also very good.
