Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

No dining options. There are not many restaurants nearby which are family friendly.
I liked the location, friendliness of the staff, size and condition of the rooms.

It appears that the hotel was under construction. Found it somewhat troubling that the fire doors to the stairs ways didn't have a safe distance towards the stairs. Not great when you have Luggage or similar in your hands.
Breakfast Bar was exceptional, the Rooms with table and cupboard were nice, also liked the Balcony with Chairs.

The hotel is currently being refurbished... they have cut some corners so the standard isn't top notch. That didn't detract from it being clean and comfortable.
The room was recently refurbished and looked quite modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb, great selection.

The reception staff left at dinner time and never came back the first day we arrived. So many guests were waiting there. We tried to reach someone by calling the number provided in the card of the hotel, and found out it only reached the landline phone on the desk ....
Room was clean. There were enough choices for the breakfast buffet.

The room have no refrigerator. The balcony is not excluded to the other balconies on the same floor. Its kind of like one long balcony for all the rooms on the floor. There was a problem with the elevator and the stairs are quite narrow.
The breakfast was just fine. There was alot to choose from. The price is fair. The hotel was OK for spending one night. I would recommend it to anyone planing on staying longer.

Too expensive for the value. No air conditioning in the rooms. Super hot inside although outside temperature was cool enough but inside was super hot

No tv reception, apparently all rooms affected by issues with the service provider. Although the hotel opened a few years ago, there are plenty of areas that have not been finished yet, most noticeable the rear of the building.
Location was good for us, pleased to see the property had a lift, as my wife is unable to manage more than a flight of stairs. Breakfast was brilliant with plenty of choice.

The rooms were defective. The bathroom closet was defective in one room. The tv was not able to connect in one room. The breakfast was a very basic standard breakfast, for the price it was expected to be better. All rooms had different facilities like no.of chairs, tv connection etc. The balcony was under construction.
The rooms were clean. One room was good. The breakfast was available on time. The crib was available as needed.

The noise from the street is too much, the blinds on the door to the balcony couldn`t close, so there was no privacy, the room wasn˛t cleaned properly as there was an ashtray full of cigarettes on the balcony, also there was plenty of dust in the bathroom...plus, 6.30h in the morning someone started to drilll!?!
It was ok just for the one night, I wouldn`t want to stay longer

Stayed just one night and I'm happy I'm out of there. Rooms are basic, no a/c so it was hot in the evening, poor aoumd proofing, etc. The front desk should be open until 22 but I got a call at 20 from an unhappy man asking when I will get there. Parking is also terrible. The hotel slots are quickly full and if you are lucky you can get a spot on the street. It is one of the cheapest hotels in the area but I would not recomend.
