To be clear, we stayed in one of their Golden Ring apartments that are separate from the hotel. We liked the extra space and outdoor patio.

No elevator so bring light luggage. Room was a little small but very clean and beautiful and bathroom was updated with beautiful marble.

The restaurant was closed for my stay except for 2 nights due to seasonal customer volume. Perfectly understandable and did not hinder my opinion of the Romantik at all. That’s the only thing I can think of…… honestly.

Perfectly remodeled areas that kept the 700 year old charm. The hotel is centrally located for access to everything. My favorite bakery was about 20 steps from the front door.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff is amazing and will take care of you like family. If you need anything, they are happy to help. They even served us breakfast early on work days so that we didn't have to leave hungry! Thank you, Stefan, Lilo and Lilly. The town of Rothenburg is so quaint and this hotel, which is 700 years old, is in the heart of it.

We have stay here on two other visits. On this visit, the buffet breakfast was removed and replaced with an order breakfast. We did not like this. The buffet breakfast in the past was superb and we were looking forward to it on this visit.

We loved everything about this property. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome throughout our whole stay. We stayed in the family room and it was modern, spacious, clean and really comfortable. The breakfast was amazing with a variety of foods from sweet to savory. We ate dinner there one night (reservation recommended) and it was the best dinner we had our whole vacation. While my whole family loved their meal; I had the salmon and it was the winner. It was best salmon I’ve ever had. The location is exceptional. You are walking distance to anything you’d like to see. Overall, we loved our stay here and would like to return in the summer. I would absolutely stay here again.

Our third floor room, while spacious and very quiet, should really be renovated immediately before letting it to guests. The bathroom was spacious and modern but the furniture in the room itself was threadbare and torn. Tired furnishings at this price point aren't usually encountered. To the hotel's credit, the receptionist offered us a lower floor room - probably assuming we wouldn't want to climb three flights of stairs - but that was a non-issue for us as we were more interested in the spaciousness and quiet of what they had reserved for us. The receptionist did mention that it had "not yet" been renovated, so we accepted it at our own peril. Nonetheless, this detail would not discourage us from staying at this hotel again and we plan on staying there again this summer!

Refreshingly, breakfast was not the usual buffet, but rather a fixed menu that was served at our table by a very pleasant staff. It also included a few options that we very much enjoyed. To be able to just be seated and not weave in and out of a breakfast buffet line is indeed a rare and welcome luxury! The staff also parked our car for us. The parking fee was more than fair, especially considering the lot is for the exclusive use of the hotel's guests.

Their parking lot is quite far (but acceptable). This only complain would be I paid for valet parking but in the end I parked by myself because the reception was too busy dealing with check-in and the restaurant stuff in the same time so they don't have time to park for me and asked me to park by myself. I think they are very short-staffed. No lift so I also pull my luggages from ground floor to second floor. If you're traveling with lots of luggage you should be aware of that

The location was excellent! Our room was very spacious with a sitting room and the bathroom had a tub. The breakfast was great as well. Loved all the antiques!
