Quaint wee town and nice and quite hotel. Everything you needed around you. Only stayed for 1 night before airport, wished we stayed a little longer. Mix up the taxi arrival time but the manager stepped up and took us to the airport

The location is historic in an old castle partly a ruin but partly done up very tasteful. The reception was excellent The hosts very lovely people with a heart for their property. The breakfast was lovely well made and very tasteful definitely a place to recommend when you want a romantic stay over.

The lady who welcomed us at the reception was very friendly, and when she found out it was our 1-year anniversary she arranged a bottle of bubbles for us. We stayed in the Asian room, which was lovely. Super comfy bed, and luxury bathroom. The location is stunningly beautiful. Highly recommended!

We were just staying for the night so basically needed a comfortable bed. The place is charming and very relaxing.
The breakfast was sufficient, I enjoyed the fact that there was regional and homemade produce. Personally I am not a big fan of too much on offer for breakfast so found everything adequate and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Netherlands16 Reviews“Lovely grounds, Lovely room, Lovely people.”I really have nothing bad to say. Generally don't like hotel pillows, so I would recommend maybe getting tempur-pedic pillows, then I wouldn't have to travel with mine from home.
The breakfast was excellent, it was priced well for the area. The fresh breads were heavenly. We were the only people having breakfast on our first morning and they went out of their way to present a lovely table just for 2. Eggs were cooked well. The room was amazing. A mid week stay and we had the Sterne Zimmer. It was worth every penny. Loved loved the double bathtubs. We also liked the little history lesson about the rebuilding of the castle tower.

Netherlands33 Reviews“Good hotel, but don't be mislead by the castle!”Overpriced breakfast, served in the hall of the restored castle ruin, but too packed (sharing tables with strangers) and limited choices foodwise. We recommend having breakfast in the tearoom close to the road! Zoo is funny, partly ran down feature in the park. Never got the TV working to check the news, but wifi was perfect!
We stayed in a renewed corner-room with a view on the park in a building close to the road, with closed windows - very quiet. Lots of options to sit in different spaces on the ground floor, which makes this a good place for big groups. The room had a funky theme and comfortable, good bed and shower. There is a bridge leading you from the 'estate' straight into town. Garden is lovely.
